    Hehe sorry, no I wasn't trying to rage bait anyone But for example, we have seen that DLSS always looks generally better, then most recently RTX Remix among other creative apps, etc For the average Joe (me included) it just looks like NVidia keeps pushing more features for their GPUs Hence why I asked if my feeling is wrong

    Let's say that you got two graphics cards that are nearly identical in price and performance. Is it safe to say that NVidia seems to offer much more features than AMD? Am I wrong?

    I'm trying to build an entry-level PC for 1080p gaming, I plan to use: AM4 Ryzen 5600 RX 6600 / RX 7600 1x SSD 2x 8GB RAM I'm aware that the price difference between A520 and B550 MOBOs is very small, but I still wonder which one does above build actually needs.

    From what I've been by working in different companies: Generally speaking, It's common to use the CLI for basic things, stuff that you can learn on a 15 minute video Even more common, kinda "must" have if working in roles related to: Cloud, DevOps, Back-end, Sys Admin, Networks, etc I agree, although I'd like to point out that it provides quite a huge advantage over developers who don't know how to use it

    I mean before purchasing, one option is to look it up on YouTube, but is there any other way? So far, with my next to zero knowledge I've come to the following conclusion: Less than 50 bucks = microphones pickup background noise easily Higher than 50 bucks = microphones do not pickup much background noise I highly doubt this is accurate, but it's what I have seen from videos

    Is that like a cable or like what other people describe as audio interfaces? Matter of fact, is there any downside to using an XLR to 3.5mm cable? Also for @EphraimK@Jordaneer So the XLR mic goes into that audio interface thing, then that thing is connected to the PC via USB?

    I have the following UPS: Cyber Power CP1500PFCLCDa https://www.cyberpower.com/global/en/product/sku/cp1500pfclcda I had it connected to voltage regulator, so pretty much: UPS -> Voltage Regulator -> Power Socket Is there anything wrong with that? In my apartment, power variations (power spikes?) are quite common for some reason, very frequent between 8 a.m. to around 5 p.m. then it goes back to normal. So I had connected my UPS to a Voltage Regulator for extra protection. But, if I were to connect my UPS directly to the Power Socket, could my UPS tank those power variations?

    This is mostly out of curiosity Let's say that I write some functionality in C++ and it works in Windows 11 just fine. 1. Does it mean that it will work in just about any machine as long as it's Windows 11? 2. Would it work on any Windows version? Like Windows 10 3. What if I developed it in Ubuntu 22, would it work in future and past Ubuntu versions? 4. Would it work on different Linux distros? I have seen a handful of different compilers for C++ , hence the question Tagging @wasab as I have seen him mention this language

    I absolutely misread the word! I thought we were talking about Bash or PowerShell (since if I recall correctly, there's a way to run Bash on Windows) Shame on me hehe

    Truthfully, you are better off using PowerShell on Windows. Bash (among other shells) are more common on Linux environments. "X is far more powerful than Y" - is nonsense like : "Boots are better than Shoes" It pretty much depends on your skill, a tool can offer as much as your skill set.     Yeah! I didn't know Dolby was basically HDR until it was pointed out in this thread I have the LG C3 42" which I love! I use it on a daily basis to work (as a monitor), then I switch to movies / series and they look stunning

    Ever since I bought my OLED I've enjoyed playing games on it with HDR, but that's about it. I'm pretty sure that none of the movies I've watched on Prime or Disney Plus have been HDR, I do use LG's apps. At this point it feels like the only HDR content that I can watch are these 4k OLED demos on YouTube

    I could not find information about it. My parent's PC use that one and I wanted to give them my 1440p monitor, all they do is Youtube, Facebook, etc Can that CPU handle that resolution or should I upgrade it to something like a Ryzen 6 with on-board graphics?

    That's weird, because for the sake of testing I re-connected my old monitor to do a comparison, both locked at 60 FPS and the OLED definitely looks way more fluid and sharp, then enabling BFI / Motion Pro makes it a much noticeable difference
