  1. I got this one from a box from a closet too! Its a shame it got thrown out, due to its value monetarily and sentimentally.
  2. I checked the power supply with a multimeter and saw it worked fine, but I still wasn't able to get the computer to turn on. One step down in troubleshooting, I guess.
  3. I don't have any need for it right now, also I got it from some relatives whop have no use for it anymore. Plus, I wouldn't have any time to play with it and none of my friends would be too interested. Would it be safe selling on the Facebook Commodore Lovers page? Thanks for the help!
  4. Thanks for all the info! I'll go ahead and see if it works and figure out how to use it. I'll be sure to use your advice!
  5. Most definitely a niche topic here, but I have a Commodore 64 with a ton of peripherals and other add-ons to the system, but I have no idea how to make sense of it all, verify it works, clean it up a bit and sell it. Is there anyone on here who could help me with this? I attached some pictures of the computer itself along with all the extra stuff that came with it. Also, where would be the best place to sell this?
  6. Huh, I could've sworn everyone was telling you to do it on top of the bag a few years ago. Then again, that is my memory from a few years ago so it probably isn't correct
  7. Thanks so much for the help! I'll return the gigabyte one and maybe opt for a corsair. I've never had any problems with a corsair.
  8. thank you so much! it prob wasn't a good idea to listen to a random stranger on the internet who told me to stick a paper clip into something connected to an outlet but it worked out for me in the end
  9. yep the psu still isnt turning on and I have a staple touching both pin 16 and 18 right now. Should I return the powersupply and get order a new one?
  10. I have a feeling the psu is the problem, but how exactly should I go aboput doing this? Also it may be important to note that the psu fan never turned on when the case or cpu fans did
  11. How exactly should I short pin 15 and 16 and should the psu be plugged into the outlet when I do this?
  12. I tried shorting the pins on the mainboard but that didnt work, so I think I'll stay away from the 24 pin atx cable because I think I may have shorted something
  13. I'm touching the two pins the power switch goes on and nothings happening, but I haven't done this before so maybe im doing something wrong
