  1. Thanks for the reply! I will definitely try setting the audio device to use that usb audio port and wake my laptop before plugging it in. that may help out. If I could just get it to consistently start charging when I plug it in. that would be good....
  2. Hello everyone! I use my personal laptop (razer book 13) as my work computer. Basically I have a USB hub that connects the laptop to a monitor through HDMI, Ethernet, power, and speakers. I wanted a seamless one plug setup that would work flawlessly, but it has not worked out so well. Problems I've had: -power delivery is iffy. It works but I have to unplug the power cord from the hub and plug it back in all the time for the computer to recognize it and start charging. -the headphone jack on the USB hub was noisy with interference. I added a USB to headphone jack to the hub instead and this works better but my laptop often doesn't automatically switch to it and I have to manually switch to it pretty often. -sometimes it just doesn't want to connect to the monitor and I have to restart for it to work again. -the laptop does not recognize a USB wireless mouse/keyboard combo when plugged into the hub. -biggest problem here... The laptop just seems to take for ever to wake up when plugged into this setup. Sometimes it seems to be completely unresponsive and the power button needs to be held down and forced to restart before everything comes to life. I guess my question is this. Do you think my hub may be faulty, or am I just asking too much of one single port? My hub is some off brand thing I found on Amazon, so maybe if I bought something more expensive from a better brand it would work better? Let me know any thoughts you have! Thank you.
  3. Hello! I'm visiting my parents new mountain house in somewhat remote North Carolina this week. The ONLY internet option besides satellite tops out at 9mbps. Pretty frustrating coming from my gigabit fiber at home...... It seems to do okay streaming and other general uses if you are right next to the router, but elsewhere in the house it's practically unusable. I get 1 or 2 Mbps just one room away from it. So I wanted to ask.... Are there any methods to getting this slow connection stable further away from the router? I think the router they're using came from the isp. There only seems to be one signal, not sure if it's 2.4 or 5ghz. Might log into the router and see if there's an option to split into 2 signals. What would your recommendations be? A new better router? Wifi extenders? I don't think other Ethernet ports in the house would work but I'm not 100% sure.
  4. This looks amazing. I have this case and I have wondered about its water cooling possibilities... Did you fit fans under the radiator on the bottom?
  5. Awesome so I should be in good shape then! Thanks so much!
  6. Yeah that makes sense now. Do you think it'd matter if I have 2 arctic fans and 2 in win fans chained together and then plugged into the same fan header? Idk if the different fans would turn the same voltage into equal rpm. Or does that really even matter?
  7. Hmmmm... It would be 2 of the In Win fans and 2 Arctic p12 pwm pst..... The mobo only has 1 case fan header so I think I'll just have to try it and see what happens. I did some research and it looks like the splitters only have 3 pins because the mobo is only able to read 1 fan's rpm anyway. I guess that means It just reads the first fan its hooked to and then all of the fans receive the same voltage based on that first fan. If that's the case, wouldn't it be okay since it's only reading 1 fan? I wonder if the in win fans and the arctic fans would spin at the same rpm when receiving the same voltage. not sure if there's any way to know. Idk if any of that logic works but I tried.....
  8. I'm currently doing an In Win A1 Plus build. The case comes with 2 In Win ASL120 fans installed, and I added a couple Arctic P12 PWM PST fans in the bottom. They are all 4 pin fans with built in splitters for daisy-chaining. Last time I built a pc the fans were molex (ew...) so I'm new to this. In this build, my mobo only has 1 avaliable fan header and I have 4 fans, so I guess I have to daisy-chain them. My concern is that that while these are 4 pin fans, the splitters on them seem to only have 3 wires/pins. Does this mean that I will lose PWM control when I daisy-chain them together? How would I be able to get these all plugged into the mobo and be able to control fan speed? Thanks!
  9. For sure. I guess I'll be switching over from a Macbook Pro.. the display is dying from the whole flexgate thing. I'm pissed. Not buying anymore apple products. I guess I'm just looking for something that is going to be comparable to the macbook in terms of look and build quality, but also game pretty well. Maybe that laptop doesn't exist
  10. Hmmm.... I should add, I'm kind of trying to replace both my PC and old laptop with one device... So I want something that is thin and looks nice
  11. Hi all. I am moving in to a small apartment and looking to replace my gaming pc with a laptop. I found this refurbished 1070 Razer Blade 15 on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Blade-Smallest-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B07D8YBNSS/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=razer+blade+15+1070&qid=1558318123&s=electronics&sr=1-2 I was considering going for the new 2070 or maybe even the 2080 version, but this just seems like an insanely good deal. Do you guys think the 2070 version new for $1000 more is worth it?
  12. Isn't the monitor I linked only $320?
