Okay so, Star Wars Battlefront has been released, and Luke said that they won't do a Star Wars build because they've missed the launch. Which is fair enough.

The thing is, most PC gamers don't give a rats behind about Battlefront.

This is what we all (most) care about. So, (provided that LTT wants to, (regarding user stats and all that) why not do a Star Wars build for Star Wars The Force Awakens.

This looks really interesting (well it did last week when i watched it on Vessel. But apparently we have nowhere to discuss videos...)

Only problem is, now all of LTT's subscribers know, so that's a bummer. I'd like to look into this, not as a serious budget PC. More as a cheaper (than getting two new xeons....) PC, that would be capable of doing what you guys did with Unraid, 2in1pc virtualisation.

When a Vessel video is released, create a thread for it titled [VESSEL] _________. And then ________ for youtube.

The fact is, people are going to hate. So go with what makes sense. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it seems as if you guys are trying to please everybody, or something along those lines...

Wow. I never thought RAM could ever be a bottleneck unless you didn't have enough of it, or it was *really* slow.

The common wisdom was usually that 1600mhz (DDR3) is perfectly fine. As such i thought this rush for super fast RAM was a waste of time (especially considering that the cas latency goes up as you increase the frequency).

    Thanks for straightening things out.

It's so difficult to pick a particular video. Why? Because all of them were so good. Sure, the production quality was terrible (for ... reasons), but there was so many useful tidbits, handy tricks, combined with jokes, and an entertaining host. This was how i got into PC HW and SW: start with the basics, and that's what was great about NCIX tech tips.

Although, the futureproof video was pretty useful to me as someone who was about to spec out a pc.

Indeed. Previously it was having trouble activating. At one point, it stopped prompting me for activation, so i thought i'd done it. I didn't use it for a while, so i just assumed that they'd changed it, because giving away an entire program like this seems a little... generous.

Plugging in a wireless usb mouse and trolling someone is the best thing.

they go to move the cursor down, and instead it moves up.

Then they get this "whaaaat" look on their face.

Then they fight the mouse, by rapidly moving the mouse up again and again on the mouse mat.

    it's the funniest thing, honestly..

So i was sitting with a friend when i saw this message. I turned to them and went "this is the problem"

It's not all using terminal, and you actually don't have to use terminal (except perhaps in select situations, but then the same is true for windows).

But you will find that it is easier and quicker to use the terminal. I literally just press the [key above tab] type "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade", and my applications update. Awesome. But there's an application (so a graphical interface) for this, if you want to use it.

I wrote the above comment, and then read your comment, lol. We said the same thing.
