  1. @Inkz So did you make a purchase from them? Are they legit?
  2. that looks like it. but I'm at work will post a pic later. my main problem with rma, is dealing with xotic again. it took over 10 weeks just to get this.
  3. so I just recieved this laptop from xoticPC. It is a SAGER NP7958C (CLEVO NH58AC) ryzen5 3600 32gn RAM and a 1660ti. While setting it up I noticed it hit 93C installing steam and reaches 91C watching YT videos. I haven't had the balls to game on it yet. Is this normal because of having desktop components in a thin laptop? I feel like I should RMA this, but my experience with xoticPC this far has been a nightmare, waited since april 3rd to receive my laptop. I bought a thermaltake massive cooling pad for it (which hasn't arrived yet) in Hope's of mitigating some of the heat. I guess what I'm asking is...... 1. is this normal? 2. should I rma it?
  4. recently bought a new laptop online. I couldn't purchase it without windows . The first thing I plan on doing with it is doing a clean install of win 10 pro. I have done this many times on desktops, but very little experience with laptops. Are there any potential pitfalls to doing this? I'm most worried about possibly losing touchpad, keyboard, or worst of all display functionality. Are my concerns real or am I just being paranoid?
  5. the only reason I didnt say 3300x is I find it hard to reccomend quad cores, when 6 core 12 threads are so inexpensive no days. To be fair knowing his budget would make recommendations alot easier. and yes I would reccomend 3300x over 9400f
  6. I mean disservice because you can do better than a 9400f for your money.
  7. technically it will all work together. but you would be doing yourself a disservice buying that 9400f. ryzen 3600 with a b450 motherboard. also I dont see anything but a small ssd. add a 2TB firecuda hybrid drive for another $60
  8. The new asus tuf a15 line is what I just bought. 15”, rpercent zen 4800h 8c/16t, 144hz 1080p, 1tb ssd. eqipped with1660ti 900£ 2060 about £1000 edit. I’m a liar. I based the price on currency conversion, but apparently it retails for £300 moar in the UK. I do apologize
  9. Can’t boot into uefi or bios. My cpu doesn’t have integrated graphics. And all 4 ram sticks work. It powers up with 1 or all, as long as the gpu isn’t inserted.
  10. Keyboard anything with cherry switches should work fine. But a mouse is more personal. I recommend going to a store like microcenter or Best Buy and molesting all the display models and see which feels the best to you. Also make sure the mouse you choose allows you to change the dpi in smallish increments not just low, med, and high. My mouse is the Logitech g502 which I love
  11. I guess my main question is, should everything else in the pc still power up if the gpu is bad? Or is the pc not powering up fully a fail safe? Also it just seems weird that my GPU just flat out died. Ive never had a gpu die. I have read they die in stages and you get warning signs of its impending demise.
  12. Yeah I tried in both pcie slots. Guess I will have to take a trip to my nephews tomorrow
