  1. I've tried the monitor with known-good video cables, both DisplayPort and HDMI, and it still displays nothing but a black screen.
  2. So I switched from the HDMI input to the Display Port input on my monitor and the monitor stopped displaying an image. My PC outputs to other displays, so I know that's not the problem, and neither is the video or power cables. When I turn on the monitor the back light shines through, however, the logo splash screen doesn't come up and I can't get the OSD to come up. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!
  3. I'm trying to build a PC for my friend for her birthday and i have my old gtx 750 that i wanted to use for it. I'm gonna pull a bit of a "$69 gaming pc move" here and stick it into an old optiplex with an i5 2400. Does anybody think that that'll cause any bottlenecks? Thanks.
  4. I need advice on which one to get (the blackwidow will have green switches). Best buy has a sale at the moment where the huntsman elite is $169.99 and the blackwidow elite is $134.99. Since the huntsman is only $169.99 i'm kind of torn whether or not to get it over the blackwidow
  5. Thanks guys. I also have one more question. Can I download the windows 10 installation media from my current PC with the version of windows it's running (8.1) and still be able to use windows 8.1 on my current computer? Does it change anything about the computer I download it from?
  6. I'm building a new PC and I wanted to know that if I download the media creation tool from my current PC to install Windows 10 on the new one, will that render the version of windows on my current PC, (WIndows 8.1) unusable?
  7. Okay that's what I thought, I just needed some confirmation. Thanks bro
  8. I'm wondering if I can load into the desktop on a new PC with a Ryzen 7 2700X without a dedicated GPU. Do you need a dedicated GPU, or does the R7 have any integrated to at least get me into Windows? All responses are appreciated!

  10. I see where you're coming from. Based on feedback i think I'm going to dial back the storage to a normal HDD and either a lower cost nvme drive or sata ssd to save money on that front. Also i think you're right with the rgb so I'm gonna omit the fans and save about 100 there. So at this point I think i'll go with a 1070ti since i'll most likely go for a high refresh rate 1080p monitor
  11. The reason I didn't really want to buy A 1080ti is because i've seen many people build 1080ti rigs with ugly cases, no ssd's, and low amounts of ram just to fit into the $1500 budget. I wanted to focus on a build that is as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing. I also don't believe I would benifit greatly from a 1080ti, but rather a 1070/1070ti with the types of games i'd like to play, but since gpu prices in that class haven't recovered fully yet, I opted for the RX 580 due to slightly better performance than the 1060 6gb and not much worse performance than a 1070 in both 1080 and 1440. Also RX 580 prices have dropped dramatically in the past 2 months. I appreciate the feedback though!
  12. I don't really see what's wrong with the 750 G1+. But i guess i'll look into the SeaSonic PSU you suggested to see if it is worth the extra $10 Anyways thanks for the feedback!
