  1. I currently have a 1660 Super, but am thinking about upgrading to a 6700xt. Specifically this one. Am I going to save more than $10-20 if I wait for the 7900 release? Is or will there be a noticeably better option for ~$400
  2. Today I went to turn my computer on and nothing happened. If I unplug it and plug it back in it will click once and then nothing. No lights, fan movement or anything. I was using it earlier today with no issues. Ant help on where to start troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated. 3. No, It's been like this for a few months. It seems completely random. I wake my computer and it works just fine about 40% of the time. I keep thinking that something is getting turned off when my computer sleeps that isn't getting turned back on automatically. Could that be something?
  4. When my computer sleeps/hibernates and I wake it up I connect to my wifi network and get a No Internet, secured. All the other devices on my network connect, no issues. I can restart my computer and no dice. Sometimes if I connect and disconnect a few times it will work. Other times It doesn't work and then it randomly connects at some point during the day. I usually give up and switch to my laptop if I really need the internet. All drivers are updated, etc. I'm at my wits end, any help would be appreciated. 5. I have looked for other issues like mine but haven't found any that have answers. Im thinking that my easiest option would be to do a complete reinstall. The second paragraph explains my problem with that option. My PS gets to bios but doesn't boot. I shut it down. This morning I started it up and get the window logo with the spinning dots. Then, nothing. The screen is on but it's just black no curser. I have tried a different monitor and cable. I have unplugged and plugged it back in. I made sure the drives are plugged in correctly. I changed sata ports and cables. I've removed the HDD entirely. I can reboot into the bios just fine. It recognizes everything. Every 3rd try I get safe mode, but it doesn't recognize my admin password or my account password. All my downloads, pictures everything is on the 8TB drive. I still have my MacBook from work, what Im using now to write this. I have also downloaded a windows 10 .iso, formatted a 16GB usb to FAT32, but the iso is a little over 5GB. I have seen the command line workaround. I just can't use the command terminal on my Mac due to an access limitation from my work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I was thinking that synology might be the way to go. Would I need a different media server? The os is windows for all but one running mac os. The total to back up would be about 10 TB total. I don't know the length of time I'd keep the backups.
  7. Budget (including currency): $400 USD/each with drives preferred, or enough drive space to get started Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Multiple computers backup, remote and local. Local/remote media server. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I want two build two machines one at my house and one at a friends house to backup each computer with a local and remote backup. If I could also have a shared media server included in the build it would be a bonus, but not remotely necessary. So there would be three computers at my house to backup and one at his house to be backed up. If I can provide any other information please let me know. Thanks in advance!

    HELP!

My new build was working great just minutes before this. I booted up my computer after adding a second monitor. It worked great, but wasn't booting from my M.2 Samsung 970 Evo Pro. I've been booting from this for over a week now. But after I plugged in the second monitor it was booting from my ssd. I restarted and went into bios and now it says no system manager. So I shut the computer down and inspected the M.2 to make sure it was still seated correctly. Looked good, checked my ssd drive while the system was opened, it's good. Reboot, and all li get is the message input not supported. I'm lost. 10. Thanks, I went with the GTX 1660S that I got for pretty cheap second hand. It was $100 US and I can upgrade when the price drops too. So far so good! Thanks for your help.
  11. Final build Parts list. I just deleted the pics of the build itself (by accident),so those will be coming. I also used a 1TB WD that I had in my previous computer. Thanks guys!
  12. it looks like the connections are for addressable rgb. Ok, I’ve gotten everything together, I went with a MSI tomahawk max mobo, and switched to a Phanteks Eclipse P350X case. I have everything connected and set up in the case. The case fans have rgb apparently, but the connector is different. It’s a four pin connector but the 3rd pin is missing. I just have male 4 pin rgb headers. What is this weird pin called? I’ve googled it and found it described, but never a name. Pic of my cables included. Thanks!
  13. Alright, I have tweaked the build with the help of your recommendation and Info. I haven't decided on a gpu yet I'm going to spend a few hundred more so I'll have that, hopefully, figured out before I start. But I was able to find a local shop that would update the bios on the ASUS tuf. Thanks again and I'm still open for suggestions or other options.
  14. I was also considering the secondary market for the GPU, or would that not be recommended?
  15. I was looking for something in the 2-300 dollar range but I can go 50 to 100 or so more if I need to.
