  1. I am using the Sickleflow ARGB Reverse Edition. These fans have reversed blades so instead of airflow going out on the Grille side, it's on the open side. So these are all bottom intake fans and radiator pull fans, without the ugly Grille on the airflow side More details of this fan here >> SickleFlow 120 ARGB Reverse Edition | Cooler Master
  2. This new PC is an evolution of my previous PC build, "Rainbow Dash Wizardry MK II", and now the Mark III/MK III. Built and finished in Jan 2022. And let's just say, building this was not only harder than any system I built, but also the sourcing of the parts. It was so difficult to get this GPU and CPU in my country due to the shortage. Nonetheless, it's done! The same features and target as my previous system, but with definite performance gains compared to the previous one. So thought I share it! Let me know what you think and if you have any questions, sure! Description of my build Part 1: (pretty much a copy paste from the other forum post since it's the primarily the same motive/goal): Description of my build Part 2: (the differences to my MKII/Mark 2): - To be used as a mining system (RTX 3080) and light gaming (GTX 1070) system in which I use the system to mind and play light games like Minecraft or good ol classics - Next Generation RGB, all ARGB fans (compared to standard RGB fans) and the new Neon ARGB Strips) - General System performance improvement to the previous system. 3. Please read the original post. I am not going to do it that extreme. I am not lapping or direct die cooling. It's just questions about Delid and Copper IHS..
  4. Don't plan on lapping, just delidding and someone is going to do it for me with the tools. The only main questions I are the LM alloy reactivity (faster with RockIT Copper IHS than the stock Intel Nickel IHS?) and just temps for ppl who do it.
  5. The reason I am trying to get the 9900KS is more due to the better Silicon quality (I don't plan on pushing it to 5.1 or above all the time, it's more about the silicon efficiency that allows me to run the chip cooler at lower voltages) I found a potential seller on my local marketplace at a decent price for a 9900KS. Like I said, going over to Z490 and an i7-10700k for me is more expensive than selling my 9900k and upgrading to a 9900KS; the only benefit I see is renewed warranty and just a better lapped IHS which I think I may delid in the future anyway. Z490 and 10th gen i7/i9 chips are expensive for me. Also, to add on, I don't plan on spending money on Delidding tools and stuff as I am already paying someone to do the delid/relid service for me which is overall cheaper.
  6. I cannot find a "good" z490 board that is able to suit my needs. The only way I can "break even" is to go from my 9900k and Z390 Maximus XI Gene to a 10700K and Prime Z490-M; going to a more premier board is more expensive here and where I live from it's a low ball market.
  7. The price for me to transit over to Z490 and with an i7-10700k is quite expensive.
  8. Hi all! So lately I have been trying to finish a Quiet, Overclocked PC build. While I am 100% done, I am unfortunately facing issues, particularly in my new i9-9900K's temps. To begin with, my build is using a 360mm Liquid Cooling AIO with 6 fans mounted on it. Secondly, I didn't win the silicon lottery; this new i9-9900K required 1.28V to do 4.9Ghz (AVX2, LLC5); Going to 5.0 Ghz seemed to require a bigger bump in in voltage which is already an issue because at 1.28V, this CPU is hitting 90C-95C on the package - I was reaching roughly 200W of power usage/TDP during an AVX Workload. And lastly, because I live in a pretty warm country (Singapore), it will be expensive to run the A/C all day all night so my room will hit roughly 30C-32C in a normal day. While yes, my workload mainly is gaming and some multitasking work in the background, I don't do much AVX workloads; but I am just sensitive to temperatures, especially when they are high. I am considering to go over to the i9-9900KS for the better silicon quality, but I don't want to stop there; I wanna go the enthusiast route, but maybe not to the extreme, more to get the best and lowest temperatures possible. - Delidding and using Liquid Metal instead of Solder - Rockit Copper IHS (I don't plan to do direct die cooling and/or lapping due to the dangers with it) A few questions... 1) Does anyone here have a delidded 9th gen CPU and use a Copper IHS instead of the stock one? what are your experiences with temp drops and etc? 2) Will using Liquid Metal alloy with the Copper IHS easier than the stock Nickel plating and do I need to delid in a few months and reapply the LM? 3) Any hints or notes to take note of? OTHER ANSWERS: - I am not willing to switch to Z490 and i7-10700k, due to the difficulty to sell my current 9900k and Z390 board. The only benefits I see with the extra few hundred dollars to go over is renewed warranty. - I am not doing direct die cooling and/or lapping. More details of my build can be found here: Thanks
  9. Time for the final piece of the puzzle! "Upgrading" the CPU to a 9900K. This build is 100% done! Got it for a good deal. Not a golden chip. But a decent undervolt at 4.9/4.7; I'll take it for the better multithreaded performance And new Timespy Score! (I thought a 9900K could get me to 99% of all but oh well.. )
  10. So as shown in the video and I believe briefly in some tech show somewhere, there seems to be like an OLED display that's used for ASUS ROG motherboards with the "NODE" connector. For now I only see those in stuff like the Ryujin 360 AIO. However, I don't see cases like the one shown above that has the display. I kind of want one of those, but just the display and cables for a build I am almost done with. Does anyone know if there is a way I can get the OLED display and connectors only? Also does this features support my ROG motherboard (Maximus XI GENE)?
