  1. So I installed the evo 860 ssd into my laptop and installed windows 10. Everything works. Reboot, everything works. Shutdown, come back tomorrow, everything works. Install updates.KABOOOOOOM! Blue Screen. Any advice? I googled a 3 line cmd fix in recovery. It did not fix the issue. Raid mode in bios seems to have solved the issue
  2. Correction This motherboard https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming K6/index.asp
  3. Installed this card today and it is not working. Using the m.2 slot at the top of the board on my ASRock Fatal1ty Z370 Nothing shows up not installed in the device manager. This is the card I installed. Intel 9560NGW Wireless-AC Dual Band NGFF Key E 1733M BT 5.0 Wireless Wifi Card Motherboard https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Fatal1ty Z370 Professional Gaming i7/index.asp HELPPPPPPPPP!!! Please and thank you for any advice anyone has. Going back to my 8xxMbps wifi card in a pcie slot. Want to free that up and get the blutooth off a usb header with the new minicard. Not to mention its wicked fast.
  4. Im just sitting here eagerly anticipating the video about Linus and his genuine windows check woes.
  5. I have a dell E6520 (My favorite $5.00 Thrift Store find yet.) and I am looking to upgrade the storage system from a hard drive to a hard drive and ssd without loosing my optical drive. https://www.amazon.com/Drive-Caddy-Modular-original-Newmodeus/dp/B009OLHG30 This device has a 25mm pcie msata slot on the board, I would prefer to use a 50mm https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CTGJBCR/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AG6COPKGTCMIO&psc=1 https://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/latit/en/latitude-e6520-specsheet.pdf https://www.cnet.com/products/dell-mobility-solid-state-drive-256-gb-sata-150-series/ above is the original ssd shipped when ordered from dell regardless of the slot being present on the board. GO DELL!!! Bellow are some information sources I found regarding the issue. One user post results with a 50mm ssd working in the wwan slot on a similar device but not exactly the same as my own. https://www.dell.com/community/Laptops-General/Latitude-E6420-and-E6430-mSATA-SSD-compatibility-and-BIOS-issue/td-p/3966924 https://www.dell.com/community/Laptops-General/E6530-additional-mSata-SSD-boot/td-p/4038067 So question for the linus forums: Will the Dogfish 480GB drive work in the larger slots or is the 25mm slot the only one with an msata controller?
  6. Thats what I thought but wanted to make sure before buying a 2.5. Thank you for the fast reply.
  7. So I have a Dell Latitude E6500 that I picked up at the thrift store for $5.00 I have upgraded the wifi in it to wireless ac using an m.2 card and m.2 to pcie adapter as well as antenna line adapters to the smaller MHF4 size. Can I do the same with a nand storage chip? Physicaly it should work. What kind of speed can I expect? Dictating if I should bother with a nand chip or just get a Higher Capacity 2.5" SSD. If its going to run though a bottleneck why bother with the specs
