  1. Alright, managed to reinstall windows onto the NVME SSD, and found a short fix that (hopefully) would prevent me from booting from any wrong drives in the future. fix includes going to msconfig via Run, and configuring the boot os's to just having the NVME os enabled as default (and remove the others) I guess TLDR, have plenty of time to troubleshoot I guess...?
  2. Update: Sata SSD is unplugged, and so far the configured BIOS settings to boot for the NVME drive and Windows Boot Media resulted in a Recovery error. Error code: 0xc000000e I'm just going to reinstall windows onto the NVME drive and pray nothing goes wrong again.
  3. What if just have the sata drive unplugged from the system? Wouldn't that work as well? The NVME drive manage to have Windows installed and boot to, but can no longer boot even if I disable the sata drive and try to force a boot onto it.
  4. Additional Information I can't seem to boot to the NVME drive anymore, through either forcing via BIOS or configuring to 1st boot, nothing works. It either pops in with the: Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key or the included Windows 10 Installation Setup screen which I still have plugged in.
  5. Update to Problem: Even after configuring the BIOS to NOT boot to the SATA SSD, and even trying to force to boot to the NVME SSD, the system keeps booting to the stupid SATA SSD. Great. Stuck in another pot hole. Is there a way to boot to the NVME SSD? (installed and posted into Windows 10)
  6. Currently in the process of reinstalling windows onto the NVME just in case. As far as I can work out, I think I've gotten the boot under control, but I'll report back if something funny happens.
  7. Yes, and the NVME was the new install. As of the moment, I've managed to boot to my back up SATA SSD. NVME however, no such luck SATA SSD has no problems booting up atm, but there are no issues with Windows either. I don't want this to happen again, and most likely it will, is there anyway to avoid this sort of error.
  8. Yes. Same result. Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key
  9. I've said that I'm at my BIOS, and I cannot boot to my NVME SSD or spare SATA SSD with Windows both installed.
  10. New Problem The Motherboard's BIOS refuses to boot to my NVME SSD or my spare boot SATA SSD (windows both installed), and keeps bring up the Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key No such luck on Google or anywhere else to fix this mess. 11. Alright, good news. Windows Installation worked as planned! So TLDR: always install Windows 10 using the Windows 10 Installation Media Tool
  12. Used the downloaded .iso file from the Windows 10 website onto the USB (currently on a Macbook so most likely causing the installation problems) I'm currently using a different PC to use the Windows 10 Installation Media tool to see if the boot problems persist using the installation media. If problems still arise even from booting from the installation media, I'll report back.
  13. First time building a PC using both new and used computer parts, and managed to build, and post, the system and started to install Windows 10 to the NVME drive. BIOS shows no missing components, nor any faulty components during a pre-assembly inspection. However, when I tried to boot off from a USB drive to install Windows 10, I got a recovery error code 0xc000000e upon forcing boot. I've already tried remounting USB drives, trying different USB drive devices, different USB ports, and so far no such luck. 14. Also update: I was able to boot up and Windows is running as normal. But I still have questions over why it didn't boot up in the first place, is there a way to prevent that from happening?
  15. This just happened out of the blue, completely at random. This is a 5 year old PC that was able to boot without any problems.
