  1. Do tell me where he called the people he disagreed with "stupid." Please, quote it for me. While you're at it, please define what a personal attack is to me. It seems you infer meanings from posts that do not go any deeper than they appear. What someone's opinion of an act is does not necessarily mean it affects the way they view someone. I have not once seen this particular poster directly attack one person or a group of people. Don't put implications into posts that weren't there to begin with. I haven't seen Linus promote a product he didn't like when he paid for it himself. If I purchase a poor product myself, I will not recommend it to anyone. If I get a product for free and I don't like it, I will not recommend it to anyone. I don't see a bias in the way he reviews a product based on how he obtained said product. If I lose out on a product that ends up being terrible, I'll make sure anyone I talk to does not follow suit. It doesn't help anybody out to promote a product like that. The more the product sells, the more it'll be out there. There's no point. Here is an example of a product he personally purchased and he ripped it apart. He also recommended other products instead of the one he was reviewing.

  3. Um, that guy fled and then decided to pin an officer against a house. I wouldn't say they shot him because he ran a red light. Though strange that they're posting about an incident 11 years ago.
  4. Sounds interesting but nothing can replicate the G's as @Toddwjp mentioned. Immersion would be great otherwise. Though I'm sure they aren't the first to do something like this. Wonder how they're going to do the display setup.
  5. ^This. As soon as I saw the title, I was like, how is this news? They've always offered free Internet to fiber areas. Though, to add onto your last statement, I imagine that they just released the pricing for it. And since everyone brought up their speeds: I'm in the LA County, I have Charter, we have 60dl/4ul, and the last time I saw the bill we were paying $52/mo for those speeds. I would do a speed test but I'm currently sitting in a Starbucks. I'm fairly certain our bill has gone up ~$10, could be a result of a contract running out, not entirely sure. Haven't seen the bill in a while. We were recently upgraded from 30/4 to 60/4 for free, as part of their new "Spectrum" lineup.
  6. Glad to see that the resolution makes a minimal impact on the device's battery life. The display looks gorgeous (I've seen a sample model in a T-Mobile store), and as expected of phones nowadays, it runs very smooth. Gotta give it to Samsung this round, their Note 4 is quite nice. I still personally would avoid purchasing Samsung devices, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend it to others. My dad actually ordered a Note 4 for his Verizon line, so I'm excited to play around with it for a little while when he gets it. I think they've made a very nice improvement of the device since the Note 2.
  7. So suddenly I'm an obsessive gamer who will do anything to defend my games, I'm unethical, and I love to harass people. Thanks. The reason why I support GamerGate is the reason why many people support it: I want more transparency in journalism with regards to gaming. If you want to pin the actions of a few onto me, then you are just as ignorant as Sarkeesian's followers. I don't support harassment of others, and I'm all for feminism. However, Sarkeesian's definition of feminism, in my opinion, is not feminism. Now stop speaking for others, because I'm tired of being spoken for. I am not a misogynist, I am not sexist, I am not dead, I am not a terrorist, and I'm sick and tired of being told what I am. I'm a guy who enjoys video games. That is all.
  8. I have to disagree with that statement. There are hundreds of illegally owned weapons and fully automatic weapons at that too, probably thousands as well, and the law only prevents the honest law abiding citizen from protecting themselves. And if you disagree with that, let me throw another scenario that only involves one person with a gun. Say you live in the woods and you're out in the yard and you see a bear cub walking around near you on your property? Not a big deal, but the upset mama bear is going to probably attack you because you're close to the cub. What do you do then? Just a hypothetical situation.
  9. Like I said earlier, how do we know the drone was trespassing on his property? He's damned if he shoots something on my lawn, what makes it any different if he shoots a drone that's flying over my house specifically? I'm just saying, we don't know if the drone was trespassing on that dude's lot or not.
  10. I wish the article was more clear about what was going on. We don't know if it was a single shot fired or multiple, nor the type of shot used. We also don't know if the drone was over the property of the guy who shot at it, because if it wasn't, then it wasn't his call to shoot it. That, and people generally don't like guns being shot near their homes at all.
  11. Damn, a machine that can print a 1911 out? Definitely would want to print a few of those. Though it would probably be cheaper to just outright buy the 1911s.
  12. You guys haven't mentioned how stupid and dangerous it is to shoot a gun in the air. It's especially dangerous if you're not shooting directly up in the air. There are many cases where if you shoot a gun up at an angle, the bullet can kill someone who just happens to be on the bullets path. Projectiles don't really lose much on their horizontal velocity, so it can still do a lot of damage. Sure, he hit his target, but what if he missed?
  13. Any idea when they stopped making Nvidia cards? I once purchased a single slot 9800 GT from them in the past, though it failed on me shortly after a year of owning it. I unfortunately didn't register the card with them, so my 1 year warranty was up (as it was not registered). I honestly would not mind purchasing another card from them, though I'm biased towards a certain green gpu manufacturer in my purchase decision making. While, looking back, I don't really like how they styled the card I had, I really enjoy their current designs. Very clean.
  14. Verizon isn't too bad in my area. Their speeds are as advertised, here in my area as well at my cousin's house about 20 minutes out. I also haven't heard of any caps at all. I don't recall there being Comcast anywhere near this area, and I skimmed through the list of cities they offered services to in California and didn't see any cities I recognized. I personally have Charter, though I know that TWC is somewhat nearby. I'm not sure of any other providers in this area, unfortunately. As for speed, I'm advertised 30/4, and I get about 30-40 dl depending on server and 4 ul. I believe Verizon is actually cheaper for their services. I think they're actually going to upgrade the speed in my area for free, so if I actually am advertised a higher speed and my speeds go up, I'll be rather happy. I don't think the upload speed will be any better though. If I remember correctly, they advertised 60/4 for their new "Charter Spectrum" which I think just arrived in my area, as I got a letter in the mail for it. EDIT: Yes, they've upgraded my speeds already. My monthly bill has not gone up. I usually get higher speeds from Fullerton and I get a much lower ping from LA.
  15. You guys make wonderful content. It's always entertaining to watch, and I enjoy the trolling that goes about in the videos. Congratulations on reaching 1 million subscribers. It's very well deserved and I hope you guys grow even more.
