  1. Alright, for anyone who's reading this and curious about what the fix was. I ended up finding the boot settings and changing it from legacy to UEFI which fixed the problem. All the settings must have gotten wiped when the BIOS updated.
  2. Alright, so as the title says I updated my BIOS on my Asus X470-Prime Pro in the bios menu, not in windows, and now that its been updated from v4018 to v6210 it seems like either my bios settings have been wiped or somehow the BIOS doesn't support my install of windows. Things I've done are, change the boot priority and set any of my extra drives to "disabled". That has resulted in a different message, instead of windows boot manager coming up, now it says select a proper drive and restart. Which then lead me to thinking maybe the NVMe SSD somehow died during the BIOS update. So I took it out and plugged it into another computer I have and sure enough, there where all my files including the one that windows boot manager said was "missing or corrupt". So now I am at the point of needing someone who knows what they're doing to help me figure this BS out. Let me know if there is more information I can provide to help you help me! TIA
  3. Okay gotcha, so the cas difference doesn't matter?
  4. If this has already been descussed please link the thread in the comments and I'll delete this post. I have a simple question, I'm running a Asus Prime x470-pro with some GSkill Ripjaw its dual channel 8x2 and I have another set of some Corsair Vengeance LPX now I understand that they are both different timing and latency, so my question is will it work to put both sets in each on their own dual channel dim slot?
  5. So basically, I got a new motherboard, CPU and ram. Asus Prime X470-Pro, AMD Ryzen 7 2700x, & 16GB Corsair. The problem is, I want to make the cooler, that comes with the Ryzen 7 CPUs, match the motherboards color which I've controlled via Asus Aura Software. I've tried installing the Cooler Master Software that supposedly enables you to control the color, however it just prompts me to "plug in my CM device to get started." Please help, I feel like this tech should be easier to use since its 2018 right? Anyway, if you know of any fixes, please let me know!!
  6. So basically I have two 27" monitors and they're right next to each other, the way I want them to work is that when I move my mouse from one to the other it goes in a direct horizontal line between them. Since one of them is 4K and the other is 1080p this doesn't happen I'm assuming due to the pixel densities being different. I'm wondering if there's a way to set it up so that when I move my mouse from the top section of the 4K monitor it goes to the corresponding top section of the 1080p monitor adjacent to it, and same for the bottoms unlike how it works currently. Along with that, the scaling of windows, for example, Firefox isn't the same on both monitors, the 1080p monitor is significantly larger than the 4K monitor. Heres a basic diagram of what I'm talking about, any help will be greatly appreciated!
  7. I just moved into a new apartment and got my first internet package, and I've heard that getting an aftermarket router will give you much better speeds than with the one they (in my case Comcast) will send you. I am wondering what you would recommend me to get for an apartment with 4 college students living in it. I personally wont really use the WiFi too much because I am generally using my desktop, but the other three will probably will use only WiFi. So I have Comcast Xfinity, and I need to be able to have a strong WiFi network for them to use with their phones, laptops, etc. I've already looked a little bit into Netgear's AC cable modem routers, but don't know if there is anything better that is cheaper. Thanks for the help! If you need more info to suggest me something, let me know.
  8. That is what I thought about doing, but isn't the signal from the Center/Sub output different from the aux output?
  9. So a little bit of context, I have three tweeters and one subwoofer, I had originally connected the tweeters to, lets just call it AMP 1, and then the subwoofer was connected to AMP 2, I ran a normal aux to rca from my computer to AMP 1 to run the tweeters, and I ran a mono aux from my computers subwoofer output to AMP 2. Now, my question is, how would you suggest that I connect this same exact setup to my laptop, the only problem I see is that my laptop only has a single aux output and not the aux and sub and center, etc that my pc has.
  10. So, I have a computer that I have built using the old parts from when I upgrade my main computer. Currently in it is: AMD FX-8120 CM Hyper 212 EVO Asus M5A97 Asus GTX 780 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1TB WD Blue HDD all in a CM HAF 912 My questions are, how much should I sell it for (I was thinking around 700$), and where would be the best places to advertise it that will get quick responses? Side note: the computer works 100% and is fairly quiet. Thanks for reading my post, I hope you can help me!
  11. How would I check to see if I was running on Intel HD? My Gpu temp was about 50-60C
  12. Hello, so I have had gta v for almost a year, and in that time the game ran pretty much fine. But recently idk if it is the updates, but I have been getting less and less fps in the game. I did a fps benchmark to see what fps i was getting when playing the game (using fraps). This is what I got All settings at the lowest: Min:29 Max:267 (loading screens) Avg:49.5 All settings at the max my pc would allow me: Min:13 Max:270 (loading screens) Avg:21 I have been able to run the game at high/ultra/medium settings before, but now all I can run it at is ultra low. I haven't upgraded my pc at all since I bought the game, except gone from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. PC Spex: Mobo: MSI Z97-G45 Cpu: Intel i7-4790K Gpu: Asus GTX 780 Ram: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600mhz other stuff isn't important but the Hdd its running off is a WD Blue 1TB Thanks for reading my post. Please help me out if you can!

  14. Confusing answer, but yes I have two versions of the game because of a purchasing issue. I already tried reDL both steam and Rockstar version. Doesn't help.
