  1. I have a small AC unit with a compressor that goes on and off every once in a while. Usually when this happens I hear a click and If my PC is off the keyboard lights up for a brief moment and turns back off. However this time I've put my PC on Sleep mode and when the AC went it booted the whole PC back up. Is this a cause of concern? Will that damage my PSU or anything else?. The psu is a cx450.
  2. Thx for the reply. Should I try and go for 4 or 4.1?
  3. Go for the 2600 if you dont care for the price difference. The 1600AF and the 2600 are basically the same zen+ processor but the 1600AF is slightly underclocked so If you are looking for something that perfoms on par with the 2600 yet cheaper go for the 1600AF. Regarding the BIOS u would need to upgrade it before buying a new cpu. U have to have at least version A.D0. BIOS updates are nowadays easy and safe as long as you dont loose power while flashing.
  4. I have a Ryzen 5 1600 AF and I OC it to 3.9 ghz on stock cooler and without changing the voltage which is at 1.2 stock. And after running the stress test I noticed that my temps across all cores are still 66 which they were under stress before oc. Is that supposed to happen?. I expected them to jump to the 70-75 range but no. Also how long should i run the test and if all is good should I try to increase the OC to 4 ghz or even more? that would be crazy considering the fact that am on stock cooler/thermal paste and still at 66c temp. BTW stress program is Prime95 using large FFts and monitoring using HWMonitor and coretemp.
  5. I actually know that ram should go in pairs but the pricing where I live is ridiculous. 2x4 stick costs way much more than a single 8 stick which is strange, so I tought I will get 1 then add another one with the same part number down the line. The stick is in channel B1 because A1 is blocked by the cpu fan. Secondly the mobo reboots 2 times and boots normally on the third but displays a message saying that there where system instability in the past POST attempts.
  6. Ps the bios is on latest version
  7. I have a ryzen 5 1600 AF with asus b450m-a mobo and a single stick of 8gb ram (G.skill Aegis F4-3000C16S-8GISB) and an rx 580. I first tried the XMP profile but the system kept rebooting so I tried to play with frequency and timings manually. I increased it from 2133 to 3000 and it didn't work. I tried increasing the voltage (1.4) and playing with the timing but no use I even tried to use 26xx frequency but couldn't. I also tried ryzen dram calculator safe values also to no use. It seems this thing just won't overclock. Any tips??
  8. I tried to run seatools but everytime I try to launch the app the disk usage spikes to 100 without any process using it and the app appears as suspended.
  9. Today I built my computer and the hard drive I used was refurbished. After installing windows I noticed my pc was very slow and I couldn't install apps. After running a test with WD tool it showed the error in the pic I attached. The weird thing is chkdsk doesn't detect any errors or bad sectors and the smart status says pass on wd tool but it can't complete a quick test without displaying said error. I am afraid its a problem with the motherboard not the HDD
  10. That's what I can afford atm. I am on a tight budget. But I will upgrade to something better in the near future.
  11. I am buying a used gpu tommorow. I asked the seller for a furmark benchmark which he did for 5 mins on 1440×1080 with his fps around 68min and 69 avg. Also the temps max was at 76c. The card is a RX 580 4gb. Based on the GPU-Z pic and the above benchmarks does everything look good?
  12. It's kinda true as some of them stated that they were used for mining but the thing is the card looks clean from the pics and some even have warranty. But how can it be worn out if they are willing to provide benchmarks. Maybe they will need some thermal paste.
  13. I am in ukraine and am currently planning to build a pc next week and I have all parts in mind. For the GPU I went for the AMD Radeon RX 580 4gb, but the weird thing is some of these gpus' are on sale on a website called olx which is basically like ebay. Some of the prices range from 65$ to 90$ which is really confusing. The ones with the low prices all claim the gpu is working and in perfect condition and they are willing to provide any screenshots from benchmarks or other stuff and some even allow for local testing of the cards. It is kinda too good to be true for me to find a perfectly fine 580 (with the box) that goes for 65$. What do you guys think should I go for it and take the risk?.
  14. but what if it voids my warranty? also the keys are all blue if you remove the keycaps
  15. I bought a RedRagon K552 Kumara and I instantly notcied that the D key is not clicky as the other, it sound silent and feels heavy. I contacted RedRagon and am still waiting for a response. What do you think guys? Is it a faulty key or just some dust that sneaked into it?.
