Alexsheff93 reacted to tikker in [python2] Give me a project [Beginner]
It's the next version of Python and because the major version has increased (2->3) there are tons of little differences and that those changes are not necessarily backwards compatible, so certain things work slightly differently in Python 3 compared to 2 and some functionality in 3 simply doesn't exist in 2. Anything up-to-date will be Python 3 now, so you should just start with 3. There may be old legacy stuff that only has Python 2 versions, but you can deal with those on an as-they-come basis.
In this case you'll benefit even more from learning 3, as 2 is officially no longer supported and should be considered "outdated".

Alexsheff93 reacted to tikker in [python2] Give me a project [Beginner]
First of all, Python 2 is end of life for two years now. You should use Python 3.
You'll seen them soon no? Since you're planning to get pro in a few weeks.
If you want to practise conditionals think of situations where you need to make decisions. Decide what needs to happen based on whether something is present or not, check if you can pay the bill by comparing against a "bank account", those kind of things.

Python 2 isn't a simpler or less advanced version, it's simply older (and now deprecated).

Alexsheff93 got a reaction from SorryBella in Which Crypto do I invest in ?
A great example on how fast the market can shift would be to look at Elon Musk. One tweet and he made bitcoin plummet and dogecoin rise massively within a couple hours

Alexsheff93 reacted to SorryBella in Which Crypto do I invest in ?
Fundamentally bad idea. Cryptos are highly volatile and any events can trigger it and the market price can shift in the matter of minutes. Always short sell cryptos, and for what to buy always look around for proof-of-work cryptos that have a high trade outputs to ETH and BTC.

I think you'd be happy with most 3070 laptops (Aslong as its 120+TGP) as the 3070 laptop is equivalent to a desktop 3060GPU, but like others have said check battery life as your wanting it for university and, from the sounds of the specs you've posted it sounds like a Legion 5 2021 there apparently really good laptops.

Yes. It is pirated and leaked software, the chances you will get caught are slim to none, but that still does not make it legal.

Tin foil made from aluminium is called aluminium foil.
The reason why aluminium foil cools off so quickly after removing it from heat, is a function of the high surface area to volume ratio and the high conductivity of Aluminium.
Basically, the thinness of the foil results in a low volume, and therefore a relatively low amount of stored energy. That low amount of energy is very quickly dissipated into the environment by the high surface area and high conductivity of the aluminium.

Alexsheff93 reacted to mt123 in Gaming Laptop suggestions
Not sure how laptops are priced in the UK (or wherever you live that uses pounds), but converting your price budget to USD, your limit seems to be around $2,400 USD. Currently, a Razer Blade 15 Advanced with an 11th Gen Intel i7-11800H 8 Core CPU, 16 GB DDR4 memory, 1 TB SSD, GeForce RTX 3060 (6 GB memory), and a 1440p 240 Hz display, I'm not exactly sure if it's 100% RGB, but it does have 100% DCI-P3, and I'm sure you can get it more color accurate if you calibrate it yourself (though, it seems pretty color accurate out of the box).
https://www.razer.com/gaming-laptops/Razer-Blade-15/RZ09-0409AED3-R3U1
There's also a Razer Blade Pro 17, but I think it's a year older:
https://www.razer.com/gaming-laptops/Razer-Blade-Pro-17/RZ09-0368AEA2-R3U1
I'm also not sure if gaming is your number one priority, but if it is, or if it's up there, it's hard to not consider this. I was deciding over a Razer Blade Pro 17 and a Dell XPS 17, and even though the XPS only has up to 2060 Max-Q for now, I only went with the Dell because I personally didn't like the RGB aesthetics, and the 16:10 screen ratio on the XPS is just so sexy to me. Plus, I can get an i9 in the Dell, and generally I've had good experiences with Dell in the past.
Here's my XPS 17 if you're interested, too, but it comes above your budget. I got a killer discount in the mail that was even better than Honey could find me, though sadly it doesn't seem like Honey can find anything right now. For context, mine has a 10th gen i9-10885H 8 Core CPU, 32 GB memory, 1 TB SSD, GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q, and the base 1920 * 1200p display. I'm not sure if the XPS 17 in the link I posted below has the base display or the 4K touch display, but both are only 60 Hz. This one is over $3,200 USD, and through my killer discount and through bundling with some accessories, I technically got this laptop for maybe ~$2,300 - ~$2,400, which I think is insane considering how much its going for right now.
https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/dell-laptops-and-notebooks/new-xps-17-laptop/spd/xps-17-9700-laptop/smx17w10p2c1800
Should be noted, too that the XPS, no matter the 17, 15, or even the 13, are much more color accurate and are more marketed towards video editing and other professional work. The 1650 Ti equipped XPS models seem to do alright in lower-demanding games, but the 2060 in mine seems to be handling Resident Evil 8 on 1200p (1080p for 16:10) high setting with Ray-tracing off pretty nicely.
Hope this helps.
