oh, they are expensive again... yeah, a txm is fine in this case

and i'll be the first to prove you otherwise. Aris (tomshardware psu tester) literally destroyed a g3 with just doing the normal testing. and that's just one example, i could name so many more things. from cherry picking units to reviewers to straight up selling old crap, not all evga units are good and some are even really bad. that's why we say you should NEVER trust on brand

Rp7122 reacted to Spotty in In need of power supply. Recommend.
You're not going to need a 750W PSU for those components. Actual power draw from that system would probably be closer to 300-350W max, and that's assuming one of the higher power draw RX580s like the Nitro+. Would likely save a fair bit of money going with a 550W unit instead (550W since most of those units you're looking at start at 550w or even 650W for the P2 and RMi). No point paying extra for a 750W unit when it's not going to do anything for you. For example I'm seeing the RM550x listed for 80 pounds, but the RM750x listed for 120 pounds. Big difference in price.

EVGA G2 is older than the others, larger, louder
EVGA P2 models start at high wattage which you don't need, also expensive (starts at around 125 pounds)
Prime Ultra is expensive (100 pounds for Gold, 125 pounds for Platinum)
Focus Plus [Gold?] isn't as good as the other options (has had issues with high powered GPUs in the past) and starts around the same price (80 pounds)
Thermaltake ToughPower RGB is, well it's a power supply with RGB so that gets disqualified just for being stupid
Corsair RMi is pricey compared to other stuff and unless you really want that Corsair link software may as well save your money and get the RMx instead

For your system I'd be looking at these options, all around 80 pounds... Corsair RM550x, Bitfenix Whisper, Be Quiet Straight Power 11.

No, its not that they are unable, its that people wouldn't buy the higher end AMD Card anyway as most "Gamers" only buy nVidia for no reason.

YOu see that here in this Forum all the time, where people rather buy a shitty 3GiB 1060 instead of an 8GiB RX470 or 570.

It's good, based on what info? It hasn't killed anything yet?
Calling people that know more than you "snobs", and liking brands means you have absolutely no credibility at all .

Rp7122 reacted to Spotty in PSU Tier List V3 pre-launch thread
Including links to reviews would be a great idea. Could do it as "Corsair: RMx [1] [2], AXi [1] [2], HXi [1]," with the numbers being links to relevant reviews. Or you could have 'Corsair: RMx [JG] [TH], AXi [JG] [AT], HXi [TH] [AT]," with initials for the common PSU review outlets being the links to the reviews.

I was going to suggest using multi level bullet points for the lists with each model getting its own bullet point. It would have the benefit of being able to add in the links to reviews as well as comments next to each model, such as..

    becoming

But testing it out by applying this format to a full Tier shows that it will probably end up making the post way too long.

Edit: I've done the full list in multi level bullet points. In the spoiler tag since it's quite long...

Elon was trying to milk a potentially tragic situation for PR value and got called on it. His submersible, while potentially useful elsewhere, was not practical in this situation.

Maybe Mr Unsworth was a bit too harsh, but that doesn't justify accusing someone of pedophilia without any shred of evidence.

If 500 is okay, why recommend 600?  Why not just say, no not 500, get 600?

You're talking out of both sides of your mouth.  500 is fine.  Gold cert. doesn't mean quality, just means efficiency.  Check the PSU tier list here on the forums, they're ranked by quality IIRC.

Rp7122 got a reaction from WoodenMarker in Will my PC work without a EPU?
That's the CMOS battery slot, without a battery and power it will just keep resetting the bios.

The batteries are normally CR 2032 so should be able to replace it fairly cheaply.

I was trying lots of things as everything was making it hit 92oC.

Don't worry though have set the GPU to 0.912v at 1910MHz which is maxing out at 85oC at full load. Also put fans back to the quiet auto.

But thanks for you help though.
