    wow so edgy! I wish any of us had actually ever thought of any of those things. Yeehaw im going to go out and create my own forum right now! Oh wait what's that, it has nothing to do with any of that you say? Oh you just created a straw man argument because you had nothing real to contribute to the conversation you say? The problem has nothing to do with them having the right to control content as they see fit as it relates to them owning their platform, and EVERYTHING to do with pretending to be a social hub where EVERYONE can contribute and post. Clearly not EVERYONE can and they are hypocrites. And we the 'internet people' get to control what is said and done too, with the power of our wallets and choosing to use a service. So its not, "dont like our services then take a hike", its WE don't like YOUR services were outta here with our advertising power and ability for you to get paid.

    This surprises people? LOL. Reddit(main sub's) has been a far left enclave for a while that has been censoring content. And the South Africa situation is super crazy not for what may or may not be going on there, but the reaction from the left to try and shut down ANY discussion of it at all costs.

    Sorry you're right it was just infiltrator at 4k WITHOUT RTX shown in the keynote demo so thats even worse.

    Not to mention we don't know what quality settings were set to in that demo I believe. Could have, and I would suspect low/med. I mean really when were even talking about RTX in these new cards, were only talking about the 2080 Ti, because if that one cant push RTX in games the lower tier sure as shit aren't going to.

    Except we already know with RTX turned on you get MAYBE similar (or SLIGHTLY higher) FPS numbers to a 1080 Ti overclocked in the same infiltrator game. So if you want to call that a 'kicker' or 'win' for both higher performance and graphics for $1200 go right ahead lol. And even saying its 'improving' graphics is slightly disingenuous given we already have lighting tech that can recreate all these effects, it's just more expensive to do so than with RTX and these new cards. Its great tech, for next next gen, but right now its only great for nvidia to fleece the sheep for their money.

    They are clearly hiding something bad. Otherwise it would only BENEFIT them to release detailed reviews and details. It would further drive sales if the new price points are worth it. But I am willing to bet they are not.

And you clearly dont understand how marketing works if youre trying to say if they showed performance numbers it would 'diminish' the presentation lmao. Also even more laughable considering they tried to conflate RTX/ray tracing performance numbers for regular FPS performance numbers in a very deceitful and purposeful way. You really think game devs dont care much about performance? L O L. Thats why most games are sold on low resolution/quality consoles right? Also yeah the FOR THE GAMERS keynote event wasnt REALLY for gamers right?

    No the point is not hurr they finally show something and people are complaining, the point is they were not showing anything about real world performance outside of ray tracing, and now AFTER the fact they seem to be back peddling to show us how good it is. If they showed it in the first place I would be less suspicious. On top of that why are they only showing 4k resolutions in all their examples?

    Im not and fully aware that google already does censor. However this is on a whole new national level.

    Dont be evil indeed. This IS actually really scary. Its scary google would actually agree to ACTIVELY and outright censor a whole nation. Its scary the tech will now exist that could EASILY be implemented into our version of google search. I do not like where our society is heading no matter which side of any political spectrum you might fall under.

    I doubt it, I HIGHLY doubt it or they would have been shouting that from the rooftops at the presentation as well. The problem here is the designed this entire new core to revolve around ray tracing.

    The problem here is the only people who are going to even 'care' about ray tracing in games are those nvidia suckered into buying this RTX series. In a perfect world offloading all the shadow and lighting tech onto a seperate tensor core(s) would free up resources with other gfx processing but it doesnt look like that is what is happening.

    Lastly there is only ONE reason why nvidia wasnt boasting real FPS numbers over current gen, and instead was specifically talking about ray tracing applications, is because its about the same or only slightly better than current gen. There is NO REASON why they wouldn't boast about it like they did with pascal unless it wasn't worth boasting. They spent that whole first hour convincing you why you needed this card for ray tracing to justify the price to you.
