Fortunately HDMI to DVI adapters/cables are dirt cheap.

Without integrated graphics, the ports on the motherboard are totally inactive

Both should be just fine.  The XFX one looks a lot like THICC, model they put out that got absolutely panned by every reviewer though.  I was saddened by that because I thought it looked nice a sleek, then it was built like ass. haha.  Anyway, try and find up to date reviews of the cards and compare them that way as well.

What @Fasauceome said, I believe to be true as well about the update to the Evoke.

Yep, and according to that Newegg link, it's on sale as well.

The evoke's noise level was noted by MSI after the gamers nexus review, I believe they pushed out a revised version with better thermal pad application. The DD Ultra was never regarded as a particularly good unit.

If i remember right, the MSI RX 5700 evoke is loud!!! So i would say the XFX RX 5700, unless the MSI card is cheaper. They are basically the same card.

Similar performance, go for the one you think looks better.

I'm not 100% but I ran into this problem a while back. I played around with it, but in the end I think I found Marcin only copies exactly the source drive and it's sectors down to the size of them. Because of that it leaves any space as unallocated on the destination drive.

I played around with it but in the end I just expanded the unallocated space to a new partition. Shows up as a second drive but still works. You can do this using the windows drive manager.

Interested to see if anyone else has a solution to this as well.

120Hz non-G-sync will benefit you much more than 60Hz G-Sync particularly for gaming. You can live without G-Sync, I've had 3 monitors, none of which had G-Sync, and I use a GTX 1060. Although I barely see screen-tearing to begin with.

G-sync doesn't mean it's high refresh. Personally I would take 144hz panel over IPS any day

Look at LG 24GM77 see if it's reasonably priced in your location, tho I would recommend 1440p 144hz IPS/TN if you have the GPU to pair it with.

1070 is a solid card, I run one now and it's great.
The R9 is quite antiquated at this point (being released in 2015). If you want an AMD card, look at Vega's or RX 580's

It's more of an experimenting AMD had trying to make a powerhouse... but it's massive die chip didn't translate very well in raw performance... nowadays it's more comparable to the RX580 and GTX 1060 6gb... but with just 4gb of VRAM and consumes absurd amounts of electricity.

Not to mention AiO are more prone to break and if they do you're screwed, the pump could break the cooling liquid can leak, the fan is not removable if it breaks... it's just a card that has greater chance of bricking and when it does brick you're 100% done with it.

I mean if you find a good aftermarket model, the GTX 980 Ti is comparable to the GTX 1070 Ti instead, do give it a nice look into, either ways I'd stay away from the Fury X.

Should still be able to do 120 without knowing that games and graphical upgrades are going to be implemented in them.

VaguestFuture reacted to GamerDude in 1070 bottleneck with i5-3570 (non-k)?
Depends on the game and resolution, at higher resolution and ingame setting, you'd make the GPU work harder and eliminate the CPU bottleneck to a certain extend. As long as the CPU can punch out playable framerate, then you should be good. That's my philosophy anyway, look at my sig, I have three pretty good GPU's in three separate rigs, would my framerate and benchmarks be better with, say, a Ryzen 2700X or an i7 9700K? You betcha!

I game at 3440x1440, max ingame setting.....so I do make my VEGA 64 and RTX 2080 Ti work pretty hard, and as long as the i7 4770K and i7 3960X can gimme playable and smooth framerate, I don't really care (saves me money because I don;t feel a need to upgrade). Even my VEGA 64 can't handle max ingame setting for some games at this setting and resolution. My GTX 1080 is hooked up to my 65" 4K TV, so running games at 4K, I'd have to lower ingame setting to a mix of medium and high to get smooth framerate....and it's couple with an even older i7 2600K (@4.2ghz though). As long as TS games at 1440K and higher, I don't see any issue with bottlenecks.

@grss1982Damn dude, looking at your sig, I see the TNT Riva and MX440, I kinda recall owning the Riva and the MX 400 years ago......damn, this takes me back to the good old days of GF4 Ti series and my very first kickbutt card, the much revered ATi 9700Pro 128MB (yes, I had the awesome Abit GF4 4200 Ti, but it and its bigger siblings were thoroughly owned by the 9700 Pro)

To they used a 1080 Ti. Maybe their review of going from a i7-2600K to an i7-8700k with an 1080 Ti can give you some ideas of bottlenecks.

Alcohol clears up sticky residue, hence why it's often used to remove gum, thermal paste, and so on.

It's worth a shot. Even if you don't believe it'll work, at least you can say you tried it.
