  1. Thanks mate, thats a terrific suggestion I have a couple of USB outlets on my power board, I will try that!!! Im unsure though how I can tell it which one (Of the spliter) to use as data......
  2. Hi guys, I started a thread a while back about the noise coming through my headphone from the sound card. I took the educated advice and bought a Fiio E10k external dac. Why would I still be getting mouse buzz through this system? its got me baffled.
  3. I have a E10k DAC and have my Logitech Z680s hooked up via coax SPDIF. I use the headphone jack for gaming, and the SPDIF for passthrough. Im not sure though wether the 5500's have an external reciever?
  4. Ta mate, you reckon a external DAC will make em sound better? they are certainly an upgrade from my G35's but if I can get more I will!!
  5. See I have the ATH-AG1X, do these even need an AMP/DAC?
  6. The trouble is, I was using a Xonar DG sound card and was getting static noises from the back panel. I then used the front panel and the noise was gone. Now, as of yesterday the sound card is dead all together. Now instead of buying another sound card and risking the EMI again I thought I would go straight to a external DAC. A digital out would be very good as I use the PC to run a projector home theater setup too. I really only have a prefered budget (this doesnt really matter though) of about $200 AUD.
  7. Can anyone recommend me a DAC AMP combo unit around $200 that will be great for games? I dont do music.I have the ATH-AG1X headphones Im looking at either a Audio engine D1 of a Fiio E10k.....
  8. Righto ill give that a crack. Mind you, Ive had this sound card even before I knew what a DAC was.
  9. Its not onboard Tyler I have the Xonar from Asus.
  10. Righto well this is weird I think anyway. I connected the front port header to the sound card. Using the front port everything is kick ass. There you go. Another suggestion for google to look up
  11. How common is it to get these issues with good quality sound cards?
  12. Thanks Jabroni. But can I have a SPDIF passthrough in a DAC? I use headphones for gaming, but its also hooked up to my HT setup to run blu rays,
  13. Righto, is there a product available that is a good quality headphone amp and SPDIF pass through? all external?
  14. Could it be the sound card itself? or just the general setup?
  15. Oh thats no good. It seems to me that its coming through the bus? cause the onboard doesnt make the noise?
