    Nope they don’t give you money back only if it’s sold and shipped by Amazon if it shipped by the seller they cannot recover nothing that’s your loss.

    Gigabyte use these connection For rainbow colors like digital led strips you have touse 5Volt VDG

    And for any other type of RGB you use 12Volt GRB or GRBW

    It doesn’t matter what brand the LEDs are as long as it has these connections it will work.

    PSU are PSU’s,  as long as it’s made here in the US as long as it has a bronze or gold 80+ certification and you have the right amount of wattage all power supplies will work perfectly. Also these guys will recommend you this and that tell you this and this is bad is because they have bad luck or it went out on them and they think that the whole brand or models are bad. I have  EVGA 750 BQ and people are like oh it’s so shitty it’s going to mess or burn your system up, it’s been one year haven’t seen one bad thing about it provides amazing power with no problems and 7 year warranty. Just use it don’t send it back unless there’s a problem which they probably will not be and keep trucking on.

    Cooler Master Hyper 212 black is great for a budget.

    Let's compare though, for performance's sake. What water cooler were you using?

    I Did change the thermal paste for new MX4. The old one was pretty dry.

    I went from :

    Idle 55 ---> ~40
    On load 85 --> 60-65

    Amazing !

    I am buying/building computers for 15 years now and I never changed GPU tthermal paste, I guess because I was always upgrading GPU within 3-4 years

    Now with the new crappy overpriced RTX serie I kept my 1070 so I guess I learned the lesson !

    Cheers guys !

    This happens when you mess with the bios. you can reset the bios with the bios reset button on the I/O.
    Now to let you know you can’t jump steps in the Bios especially for gigabyte like say if you’re on F30 you can’t jump steps to F 40 you have to install each bios that leads up to it.
     I include a screenshot of the bios upgrade read the stuff in RED:

    Then you’re pretty much screwed better to repair your screen or at worst replace laptop.  I have a laptop that turns on but nothing shows up on the screen or my HDMI, I just put on the side and store it away in case I figure out a fix.

    I don’t have a gaming monitor or use my TV which is a Vizio D50-F1 It’s a 4K TV but I set my resolution to 1080 x 1920 @60hz, So far I’ve ran 2 test via 3Dmark Time Spy Extreme 4K and  Time Spy dx12 and passed with no problem and I’ve been running my computer on Netflix continuously And still no flickering so I’m hoping it’s gone and it must have been a bad windows 10 install  because I did have a  oproblems with the last windows 10 that I had installed before this clean windows 10 install  I did today?.

    ill update .

    So yesterday I got a little bit mad and I said screw it let me stress test the GPU so I opened up AIDA64  and unchecked all the boxes(CPU,FPU,etc) and checked only the GPU, a dialogue popped up I forgot what it said I should’ve taken a picture of it but it said “the cards timeout value is very low would you like AIDA64 to fix it I said yes and the flickering went away.”

    I will try and install a new driver today and see if the flickering has stopped completely right now my computer is using some older drivers the windows loaded by self I think it’s 388.xx.

    Unless you are planning on holding on to that computer for somewhere near 4 years, I would not buy a warranty. I did see a RX560 (RGB not 2) on Amazon for $106, the rest start at $120 and up and I haven't checked compatibility with your system. EBay has a "Buy It Now" refurb for $75 and some auction ones that might go as low as $50 for used and possibly refurbished.

    With the system you have, I wouldn't overpay for new components. I'd try to find a RX 560 GB on eBay that I like because...why not? It will be well under your $100 initial budget even if it is a bit over your CPU.

    I can check compatibility links and offer specific eBay auction or buy it now reccomendations if you'd like or I can link you to the $106 card on Amazon. The future proof people in this thread might have a point on just getting a RX 580 if you choose the Amazon new route since some of them aren't a whole lot more money.

    Addendum: Since you don't know if your daughter will really be into gaming long term and hard enough to justify more expensive purchases, the eBay route is the perfect audible. Even though that CPU isn't suited for AAA games at 1080P, 60 FPS on ultra, you get to come closer now by doing as much as you can with the CPU she has without spending much. I guess you can alwaysbuy her a newer complete computer system at a later date like Christmas or after if it turns out she really is into this stuff and needs better hardware. If it is a passing phase, then you saved money. Win win.

    But to do that, he'd have to spend somewhat over $100 as noted in the OP. Unlikely to be under $130 including tax and shipping to buy a used RX580 or 1060 and probably a bit more.

    This is obviously an old computer that the OP almost certainly isn't interested in spending money on future proofing. Besides, the RX 580 and 1060 aren't particularly great future proof investments meant more for enjoying 1080P 60 FPS gaming for the next couple of years than as a longer term investment. Getting an old generation card that matches the RX550 in performance but goes for $50-$75 is likely the OP's preference or maybe a 560 closer to $100 but likely still under at most.

    I have no problem buying her a $1500 computer she does good in school and good kid the problem is I don’t want to waste $1500 for computer to just sit there or me try to resell it and get half my money back.

    But thank you for to all your comments I look up all these prices and see I did hook up my GTX 1080 to it from my Gaming PC And to my surprise the game ran smooth on high settings I thought of a bottle neck on the CPU and it runs clean that’s why am asking for a cheap GPU or I would have upgraded your CPU and her GPU.
