This week as sites like Engadget and Richmand News have reported, << Myesports Ventues has announced that it's opening The Gaming Stadium, billed as Canada's first eSports stadium, in Vancouver (specifically Richmond) sometime in 2019. >> As the article suggests it's interesting that one is being opened in western Canada over eastern Canada despite there being a bigger interest in places like Toronto or Montreal. The location is also not going to be the biggest Engadget is reporting that it will have <<room for 250 fans, 40 gaming stations and broadcasters>> Who knows if this will be a issue as gaming grows in popularity. Engadget is reporting that this arena will be a community driven location with << competitions at "all skill levels" >>. It's going to be interesting to see how this location affects the local gaming scene and the national one too!
