  1. Sweet THANK GOD that is such a big relief thanks for the help!!
  2. In BIOS is it still under fan control or is it in some other weird place sorry I'm a big noob at this stuff.
  3. how would i check of that
  4. So I went out and without thinking about it accidentally bought a whole bunch of 3 pin fans assuming they are 4 pin but instead of going through the trouble of returning all of them I was wondering if I'd still be able to control their speed through the motherboard I have an MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon I am really hoping I will still be able to control their speed.
  5. This is probably one of the best thermal compounds out there it comes in a small quantity but you can still get at least 4 applications out of it and is more expensive than the others but is totally worth it, very good thermal paste. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/XHqbt6/thermal-grizzly-kryonaut-1g-1g-thermal-paste-tg-k-001-rs
  6. Hey thanks man no prob and to be honest the only thing I'd maybe get from ASUS is their Strix graphics card
  7. Yes, I saw that but really 14 cores is still a bit overkill.
  8. Ok I honestly like your enthusiasm for thinking you know a lot about these things cause you worked for a computer tech shop, but the whole thing where I said MSI works wonders against ASUS boards is because and not to flaunt anything but I own a custom computer build shop and the customers who have never come back with problems or come back the least are the ones with MSI boards I can't even count how many times I've had people come in having problems with their ASUS motherboards and all the others as a matter of fact but, I VERY rarely ever have any complaints or problems with anything MSI and 99% of MSI builds I've done where easy as 123, they where all pretty much plug and play ready to go with zero problems but especially ASUS, on the other hand, has had countless problems from BIOS failures to device detection errors so MSI has always been the way to go and has never failed me in the countless builds I have done their boards are extremely user friendly and very easy to build on as well for new people.
  9. This PC is complete OVERKILL what are you going to be doing that requires 14 cores like seriously if I were you unless you are doing heavy max setting 4K gaming on multiple monitors I'd drop down to like i7 8700K which is still a 6 core running 3.7ghz stock so honestly, I don't see the point in the $1000 CPU you could drop your build price down to the $2000 range just by dropping that overkill processor.
  10. Ok my friend take it from someone who is currently running a MSI motherboard and has run an ASUS motherboard to be honest the MSI one destroys the ASUS one in performance and sleekness every day of the week trust me go back to the MSI motherboard it is way better than ASUS the only thing I recommend from ASUS is their GPU's. Also pay the extra $20 and get 3000mhz or get the 3200mhz trust me, in the long run it is way worth it.
  11. Umm I dont know where you get your facts buddy but MSI boards are amazing they are arguably some of the best boards out there
  12. If you are looking for a good case that is sleek and has high airflow Id suggest the "Phanteks Enthoo Primo" It also has several different color choices. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/CxrcCJ/phanteks-case-phes813psrd
  13. in all honesty, I love that CPU cooler it just looks really nice
  14. The mobo I have has 6 headers and I don't wanna deal with water cooling so I'm just getting fans tbh I just want it to work and not overload.
