i tired verifying the game integrity multiple times, I think i might just have to re install the game...this is a common issue for JC2 from what i have researched. ALL my other steam games work perfectly fine, just this one gives me issues.

So just yesterday I was able to play just cause 2 with no problems what-so-ever. Today however, every time i try to open the application it runs up to the start up load screen for the game and then it just stops responding there right in the middle of loading the game. error ID 7023 "The Peer Name Resolution Protocol service terminated with the following error: %%-2140993535"

thanks for all the help, I'll give it a few days and see if it BSOD. If what I'm hoping is correct then the problem should now be solved, but if not then I will try Comodo Cleaning Essentials like you said.

turned out that on an EVGA sponsored forum page a lot of people were having the same error ID's as me with BSOD and peer networking. thanks EVGA for the help!

well after much searching through my entire pc and googleing files that caused alerts on my system I found peer to peer networking was causing problems. It was crashing all the time in the background and there was much talk online about that causing BSOD. Also nice to note that I discovered that this program was linked to EVGA from an online search.....hmmm well I did just install a new EVGA GPU and after that was when the BSOD issue started. So I went into the services and manually disabled the peer networking an any services that were related to that. Also as I was saying every time that I was able to reach the desktop after bluescreens, I would notice that Norton was down, and each time the intrusion prevention was what was down......hmmmm intrusion prevention.....well that is designed to stop acts just like what peer to peer is designed to run...all this couldn't be coincident.

So my computer continues to blue screen on boot up even after running some heavy duty security scans. However the scans did fine two program files that are said to be very bad for your pc. Sad thing was it was unable to remove the files even after multiple times trying. Every time my pc bluescreens, the next time I reach the desktop I see that my Norton security is once again down with the same problems. Thus I know this has to be a virus causing this issue like Mike_The_B0ss suggested. I am going to go into the registry manually and individually remove each source of the bad files that the security scans found. Hopefully that works but if not I will have no other choice but to format my HDD since I have tried every other option. I'm curious though, these are two of the files that the security scan came across and found to be critical, does anyone know what they are? "tmpacc2.tmp" and "alsysio64.sys"

So I didn't mention this on my last few posts but coincidently at the same time that my pc was continuing to blue screen my Norton program was having issues and was down for some reason. It never is down so the fact that it was concerned me and I had to reinstall it completely. It did seem odd that all of the sudden I was getting pc crashes and my security program was acting up. So I eventually ran a full system scan with Norton and it found multiple threats. It cleared the threats and after that my computer was booting fine again; but I also used windows recovery so I thought it might have been the recovery that fixed my crash issues. The other day however, my pc blue screened again on boot up out of the blue. It hasn't done it in a while and I was concerned again. Interesting enough for some reason when I did get it to boot to the desktop I noticed that my Norton security was down again, and with the same exact issues that it had last time it was down. So again I reinstalled it and ran a scan and now my pc is working fine. I then ran the memtest86 and like I said and saw no issues with my RAM so you're right, it must be some kind or virus effecting my MBR. (I'm running windows 7 64 bit)

So just as an update, I finally ran memtest and my ram passes through 22 passes without any problems; I eventually just ended the process since it seemed to be working fine.

ok ill try that, I have rebooted a few times now and every time i go to boot normally it bluescreens when or right before the desktop loads, but i can run in safe mode no problem......i think my ram is ok, I might have a virus though that runs normally but obviously in safe mode only the core programs and drivers load so thats why its not affecting me in this mode. I'm running Norton on a full system scan right now and so far it has detected some security risks. If worse comes to worse then I'll format my hdd and that should work i think.

my ram has never had any problems before and no i have not yet OC anything, the cpu is set to its factory boost clock at 4.18gbz. Right now i am actually online on my pc but i am running in safe mode with networking, it hasn't blue screened again yet in safe mode this time.

so I fired up my pc today and as it started up it blue screened at the loading operating system screen, it continued to do so each time id restart it including in safe mode so that lead me to bleive that there wasnt a problem with any of my drivers (including the drivers for my new Nvidea gtx 760 i just installed a few weeks ago thinking it might have been that at first). Finally after startup rapair ran it auto fixed the problem and i coukd boot to my desktop screen. I restarted the computer to make sure it woukd boot again fine and it did but then later as it was just on the desktop screen it blue screened randomly. I restarted and it booted fine and everything was fine, but then as i was web browsing it bluescreened again. What could the problem be?

So I just got Crysis 3 and am ready to run it as max as I can with my new EVGA GeForce GTX 760 4gb but I'm not sure what anti-aliasing setting I should set it to, which is the best SMAA vs FXAA vs TXAA vs MSAA?
