  1. 350w may well be enough for that last configuration, but if you're planning to upgrade for example the graphics gard, more wattage will give you more to play with in terms of performance. For example, 400W is the recommended minimum wattage for gtx960. It also needs one 6pin power connector. Different models may have different requirements, those facts are from nVidias website.
  2. Rode NT1-A is a killer mic, but some blue snowball will do just fine. For NT1-A you'll need an usb interface to plug xlr in, and some mic stand and that will get expensive... Rode's podcaster is also one that I've used and liked, available with usb. For recording software OBS is good for 30fps gameplay fotage, but nVidia Shadowplay for 60fps. Fraps will do both just fine, but the file sizes are literally ten times bigger. Only my opinions, don't kill me if u don't agree
  3. I guess I could do that... Although this particular piece of typing technology has once been soaked in soda... I cleaned it well, no stickyness or anything. You can't even tell tell, but it might be a problem if I decide to RMA it..?
  4. Hi Has anybody ever experienced a cherry mx red switch randomly die? my number 1 is dead, so I can't do exlamation marks either... I can still get the number from the numpad. Should I try to change the switch? Is my keyboard just retarded from now on? Could it be just junk in some connection? Help me if you can! and holy shit, it just randomly worked \o/ So its not totally dead. Still only about 1/1000 clicks work.

  6. Anyone looking for a quick fix for your problem, sorry, go find it somewhere else, this is a true story. I decided to update my bios. So I just did it, didn't take too long, but of course the update messed up my delicately set settings. However, bios update toes nothing to Intel's raid controller (which I didn't know, care or worry about). Anyway, after quickly dialing in 4,5GHz overclock with the same voltage (1.2) that was earlier only enough to run 4.4, I restarted, did a couple of stress tests and benchmarks, and found the oc to be stable. Brilliant! I don't know if I'm just an idiot overclocker or the bios update has something to do with it, but I'm happy. I also changed all the fan profiles, cpu fan low speed limit to 300 (coz 'em noctuas so slow and quiet) and restarted. I forgot to change one setting. The problem: My raid 10 array was showing up as 2 discs. The other 2 weren't even mounted. I downloaded raid recovery software and scanned the drives, revealing that all my data was still in those 2 discs, which could form a raid 0 together. However I couldn't get the data copied to a separate hdd. The solution: Before panicking too much (I did some) I scanned the bios through carefully with my eyes, and noticed a setting called "Sata mode selection" It said AHCI. And in the options, there was RAID. I became suspicious, some faint memories of me changing that setting a year ago while setting up that raid started to surface. I changed the setting again, restarted and boom: I had to useless recovery programs, all my data and fully functioning raid array. And you, who actually red this far and didn't just start from the bottom, hope this helps you some day, or at least was entertaining now
  7. Oh what a stupid question did I ask :DDD Okay, so for anyone wondering how did I solve it, here is a quick rundown: In main menu: ->New game ->Select the chapter -> Boom I feel stupid enough to get the hell out of here, sorry guys and gals...
  8. Hi! I finally played through Portal 2. I've also recorded my journey to youtube, but this last session I recorded in 15fps by accident. I've got to do it again, all the other videos are 60fps. Some kind soul please help me if you have that save, or anything saved with around that much progression. So, chapter 9, 8, 7, anything... Thanks!
  9. Alright then... I was wrong I admit that.
  10. Yeah, I'll put that thing on the vesa mount behind my tv!
  11. I'm absolutely sure your processor won't cause a bottleneck.
  12. I'm pretty sure you can run different GPU's, especially if they use the same drivers. Anyway, I'm soon going to find out when my 970 arrives to keep my 770 from feeling lonely. I'll be gaming on the 970 and using cuda on the 770. I'm only worried about pcie lanes, since single GPU takes 16, and my processor has 16, so if I plug the 770 into a x4 slot, will it affect the porformance of the 970. I'll do my tests on that.
  13. I actually will need some ATX case and PSU, to house some old parts that my friend gives me when I do his pc upgrade. So those would come to good use. Lighting kit sounds good too
  14. That upgrade would give some performance improvement, and if the money isn't tight (looking at your case, that might be the case ), why not go for it.
  15. As long as the memory you are installing is ddr3, non-ECC memory, it will work. So the new ddr4 sticks are not compatible. Using two or more sticks from different maufacturers _usually_ works as long as they have the same cl-number and frequency, but I wouldn't try it myself. Basically, almost any ddr3 is compatible. If it has higher fequency than the board supports, you can always run it slower. That's another thing I don't recommend since slower sticks are generally cheaper. Hope I answered you question!
