  1. not sure but from my experience it could be a power delivery issue, probably a capacitor can you upload a picture of the mb?
  2. thanks but it didn't help, i am trying to run win updates which i had left on but when i checked today had an error, i fixed it and now i am updating, i hope it fixes it. if you have any other suggestion please let me know

Hi i have been trying to install the 18.5.1 since yesterday my system: gpu r9 390 nitro cpu amd fx8320e ram 2x4gb gskill 2400 mb asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0 1x1tb toshiba and 1x160gb hitachi windows 7 ultimate 64 bit my driver before trying to update was 17.1.something which i don't remember i got error 1603, i tried DDU in safe mode and tried again then i got generic error i tried an older version of the drivers (17.12.1) always after DDU and again same problems i also tried in uefi bios and not of the gpu (it has 2 as far as i know, it changes with a blue "S" led button) edit: i forgot to mention i was always disconnected from network as i read it may help on 1603
  4. you should use a volt-meter and check the caps plz, if they are still charged apple is more BS than they could ever be, first year in electronics engineering and they teach people about "bleeding" resistors, that should discharge caps within 10mins MAX when unplugged so plz check it out for me (but be extra careful). the shielding could stop EMI from the transformer except just protect people so IF they have such a resistor they should still have it. you should also check if this thing really Fcc and ce compatible
