  1. Thats why it is frustrating... Gpu works on two other monitorS through hdmi. Tv works with pc through on-board with two different hdmi cables. so cable is not the issue. but the Tv says no signal from gpu although it registers on nvcp and u can see it there....
  2. yeap both dp and hdmi on a 1440p monitor
  3. This is getting me really frustrated .. i have a Samsung series 6 Tv 4k that i want to connect to my pc. first thing first , i own a 8700k and a 2080ti. i have 2 hdmi outputs one form the cpu on board And one on my gpu on the graphics card the tv works fine on the on-board output BUT NOT on the gpu.... which is really strange i have tried all res and outputs the tv should work on 3840x2160p @30hz just like the on-board output hdmi but for some reason it doesn't work on the graphics card it says no signal on the TV and i have set the TV for PC input and i am using the correct hdmi slot on the TV. there is a program called CRU , but i had no luck with it OR simply put i am not very familiar with its use. any hlp plz?
  4. I have an 8700k on gigabyte z370 aorus gaming 7 And a 2080 ti with it. My ram is some old 3000 cl17 kit that can't really OC much. I plan to buy some new ones like the viper or gskill. so : 1) If i get some of those really high freq(4400) and my mobo+cpu can't get there can i downclock them to a lower frequency like 4000 and reduce the timings to still benefit? 2) should i buy those really high freq and low CAS ones? or they are not worthy? (money is not an issue) 3) Is the voltage those kits specify 1.45 some even safe for long usage? 4) even if xmp doesn't work can i still manually tweak them to a dream setting? 5) Will higher speed benefit me mostly on gaming? ( i play on 1440p, 144hz and usually single player games especially more action oriented ) 6) will i have any real compatibility issues aside the xmp profile not working? Any other advice on what kit to choose? PVS416G440C9K is one that is suggested on sites.... is it good? thx in advance. note: cpu is OC to 5ghz
  5. I have an AIO corsair 115i pro rgb it comes with a sata connection for power and you also connect a usb on mobo for extra monitoring etc. At the base of the pump it splits into 2x4pin cables for the 2 included fans. My problem is that i have 4x140 ML fans at push/pull but only 2 of them are. controlled by the cpu curve i have set. I do have a 4slot hub fan splitter(with no extra power) that i can use to connect all 4 fans at one of the aio cables and leave the other unplugged. Will i have any problems? what will happen if i overload the fan cable? does the sata power that comes from the aio suffice for pump+ fans and leds? how can i use all 4 fans in one slot? edit: is it better if i split the fans at two for each cable of the aio?
  6. thanks did it like that! All seems to work. Gamed a bit and run furmark for an hour No power problems
  7. well my psu come with 2xdouble 8 pins cables... and the gpu has 3 power sockets... there is no 3rd cable fron psu for gpu.... so i will have to connect 1 cable to 2 sockets in the gpu?
  8. Thanks a lot! Glad to read that my Psu can handle it! I appreciate your time and help! Those watt calculators had me scared.
  9. Well i just ordered a msi trio X 2080 ti. And i am not quite sure if my psu can keep up. I own a Corsair RM650x. The rest of my system consists of: i7 8700k + corsair 115i with 4x140fans 2x8gb Ddr4 3ghz RAM corsair 2 x hdd 1TB 7200rpm 512GB ssd m2 (samsung 970 pro) 3x140mm case fans And the new 2080 ti.(still on the way) I plan to OC both gpu and cpu on the system (not extreme) Various watt calculators suggest a 850watt PSU. will my Corsair RM650x be enough or i need a new one? Thanks in advance!
  10. I looked it up on net, and most reviews have on the specific ssd idle temps of 32-34 and max temps of 54.... That got me worried....
  11. Well this is my case : corsair 780T which contains a Aorus z370 gaming 7 with a 8700k a Gigabyte g1 1080 . The main problem is the ssd i have a Samsung 970 pro 512GB installed at the top place above the GPU and i used the included heatsink from Gigabyte , yet the temperatures are too high... i mean i played some Witcher 3 and some ME:andromeda where the gpu gets as hot as max 72 and the ssd even with no use get as high as 54! i am using as intake 2x140AF fans in front and 2x120AF fans from below , my exhausts are 1x140AF on rear and 2x120af on top with the radiator (h80i v2) in the middle with the push+pull included sp120. I added a spare sp120 i had between GPU and the PSU as exhaust cause air seemed trapped there. And i do have 1 more spare 120AF fan which i probably don't need Any suggestions to improvements? The SSD high temp kinda scares me..... included a pic of the rig!
