This may be what is keeping us from finding the game. Take 13 minutes to watch this video in full. Jot down the games that look similar to the game you're trying to remember. It should also refresh your memory of more things going on in the game that you could then let us know. Things like if points are given in combat or if the game has a HUD on screen or not.
Don't expect the game to be in this video. But hopefully it can give us an idea of other things involved with the game, including the graphics. This also might narrow down the engine in which the game could possibly be using. Or a narrowing of the years the game could possibly have been released. 1975-2011 isn't cutting it.
 
Also, do you remember installing the game in a CD drive? Did you by chance install it on Steam? What do you remember about the PC you played it on?

I'm pretty sure it's not this one because It was released in 2011 and I played the game I'm talking about before that

hell no I wasn't talking about nvme SSDs I was talking about sata because I'm used to nvme performance, I was afraid that sata SSDs would feel slow, but I think I'll just buy a 1x1TB sata SSD to reduce the hassle.

Don't judge by brand. Especially when they're using a different OEM than usual.
 
A video is useless, not results. There is no methodology or hard figures, therefore impossible to compare to other PSUs.

no shit! it's the problem seasonic focus (plus and platinum included) has problems with high peak wattage cards, I'm preventing you from something big, believe me

Well you could tell them that Computers are what you are interested in as a career and tell them there is money in computers even in the age of smartphones.
Tell them IT makes millions and you want to start actually learn how to use a computer.
Nothing butters people up more than the prospect of money, tell them this is a investment in your future as a computer tech

Why did it take so long for someone to come up with this argument?
 
@Hbomb18181: Explain to your parents that having a good PC now will mean that you'll be able to use it to be much more productive during college.
 
Most of the points you made in your OP appear centered around you being able to play more / different games and doing things unrelated to school. From my experience with parents of teenagers: they probably already think you're spending too much time playing games, so arguing that you want to play even more games is not going to sway their opinion.
