  1. I overclocked the ram to 1866Mhz, but i dont know the timings but its the "all-compatible" blue G.Skill Ram from Likus Videos. The problem is that if i upgrade my ram, i also need a new Motherboard and by that i could also just go for a Ryzen 5 3600 bc doesnt make sense to by a Z170 i think. So would you say: Sell the i7 and pretty much everything else and buy a new motherboard, new Ram and a new GPU? Or what would be youre next step? Im also not quite sure if the R5 beats my i7 in Single Core so... very tricky
  2. Hello everybody, My problem is that i thought about upgrading my GPU as my GTX 1060 6Gig is not really capable of 144 FPS in Battlefield and other Games in Full HD. But i dont know if its just the GPU or also something else? My Rig: -i7 6700k @4,6GHz -GTX 1060 6Gig -16GB DDR3 Ram -Gigabyte Z170 HD3 DDR3 Motherboard -144Hz Full HD Panel I run Battlefield V on medium to low Settings and i only get like 70 to 80 FPS, i dont know if thats any good but HWMonitor said that while playing the GPU runs at arround 75%. My overclocked i7 is at arround 70-90% on every Thread / Core. Temperatures are all good and always lower than 70 C° on both CPU and GPU and Ram is also not full. I thought about buying a RX 5700 XT to get 144 Fps but now im a bit stuck in thinking if this really helps me and fixes my problem because as it seems, the GTX 1060 doesnt even run on 100% while playing. Any Ideas or Recommendations are welcome :) thx
  3. So im asking myself if this would work... I saw multiple videos on youtube where people put their i5 8600k on their old Z170 Motherboard with DDR4 Ram and it worked with zero Problems, so is this just a financial thing from intel or what? Im myself running something in the moment that also should not work from intels perspective. Im runnning an i5 6600k on a Gigabyte Z170 HD3 DDR3 with 16Gb DDR3 Ram 1600MHz. And now i want to upgrade and just thought about Coffeelake and than realised how interesting this topic is. I mean, im running my skylake with ddr3 ram 1.5v since 2 Years and still have no problem even with oc on 4.5Ghz 1.3v on the CPU. Thoughts on this topic down below Thx!
