  1. Hi guys, the past 4 days a weird issue came up randomly ,the audio balance of the left and right side changes by itself, where the left side always goes to half the value of my current volume(if i put the headset`s volume to 90, left side is 45) I have to get into the sound control panel each time to fix it ,when i restart my PC , i use razer kraken 7.1 V2(the only audio device i have ), i had it for about 2 years, no issues, and razer synapse didnt update the past week for it to be the issue, i think. It is getting annoying to have to fix this issue , plus it fucking gave me a heart attack when i first encountered it , thinking my headphone was dead x D anyone has a similar issue?? any fix?? thnx
  2. Ah 1440p, yeah it won't be easy for u to hit 144hz on 2060 But i would still prefer to wait for rtx 3000 Maybe postpone borderlands a bit, u'll get the bonus to play dlc that come out in one go ? Also even a 2080 might not hit 144hz @1440p at high /ultra settings U will probably hit 90 fps, or 100 But from what i heard borderlands 3 has some optimization issues (not sure) Waiting for a rtx 3080 is better, the chance for u to hit that 144hz would be higher Also if not u'll get a cheaper 2080 or 2080ti...it is a win-win either way
  3. I think ur better off upgrading ur cpu, it's a bit too old, heck my brother's i7 6700 is starting to have a hard time handling some games Get ur self a 6 core cpu, whether its a ryzen 3600 or i5 Besides ur still on ddr3 I jumped from dual core i3 2nd gen to i5 8500 With the my same gpu (1050 ti) had a good performance boost Tho i need to change it soon Ur 1060 will probably last a bit more
  4. I'ld say wait, ur 2060 is more than enough to keep ur games running till the rtx 3000 drops I was gonna get a 2070s but decided to hang on to my good old 1050 ti a bit longer and it is still doing fine, tho its bottlenecking my new pc lol That puppy ran games at high since 2016,but now that i got a 144hz monitor it ain't enough lol
  5. i recommend you wait a couple of month, besides u got a 1070, should keep u good till the 3000 comes out. If you buy 2000 now, and the 3000 comes 4 month later, for the same price( HOPEFULLY) i assure u , u will feel dumb xD, i almost pulled the trigger to buy a 2070 super last week, then i remembered that its been 2 years since 2000 series and its about time for the 3000 to drop, i felt real dumb for almost buying it am sticking with my 1050 ti for now, going up to the 3070 would be a awesome upgrade for me
  6. This reminds me of Lifeinvader in GTA 5, where the social app lifeinvader (facebook) makes its own OS and its own phone and now its becoming a reality lol
  7. i know it is weak for overclocking, i got the board for its I/0, the cheaper ones (that were avialable)had no gigabit net , no usb 3 or c , and then the ones that can overclock properly are too expensive i have read that it can handle the i9 without overclocking, and i wont be but as i said i will be getting the i9 for future proofing , so if all goes good this rig should last me atleast 7 years or even more (with gpu upgrades after 6 years probably ) also i already am using these parts, except i got a i5 8400 instead , i won`t sell the whole thing and switch the entire thing to stay on 6 cores Maybe in 2 years games will use a minimum of 6 cores, who knows ,get my point?? i will research more on the board not handling the i9 and will act accordingly
  8. well i am , i won`t be overclocking it , am getting it for future proofing in games and some workloads (that are not that heavy) otherwise if i stay on the 8400 for the next 4 years, and the 9900k runs out of stock i would have to up the mobo too second hand market in my country is almost nonexistant , the only way i would get my hand on a used 9900k would be buying a complete used system
  9. Hi all If you are not interested in the backstory skip the following 3 lines ? , About 6 month ago i built my new rig, but when i got it i got a msi mag z390 tomahawk coupled with a i5 8400, i got this cpu because i was in desperate need of an upgrade from my 3rd gen dual core i3, and couldnt wait longer to get the i9 9900k , ( it was out of stock in my country for a long time, and i already had the mobo , so couldnt switch to amd back then). So after seeing that the 10th gen is on a new socket, i decided to get the 9900k in a couple of month inorder to future proof the pc , i dont plan to upgrade anything except the gpu for the next 10 years (if everything goes well). So i have right now a MSI core Frozr L cooling my i5 8400 and it looks cool with my pc and underload the cpu barely goes past 53 degrees(on a hot summer day), i don`t understand much in TDP so if anyone can tell me if this cooler could handle the i 9900k I don`t plan on overclocking it , i am getting it mainly for the 8 cores ,higher clock speed and threads. Also my board has those extra cpu power pins , i read somewhere that they are only needed for overclocking , so do i need to plug them or just leave them? thnx for ur time!
  10. what if my pc exploded? what if what if? why u gotta ruin this? I don`t know about u , but if i leave my pc running a game for a while ( like a hour ) it can make my room warmer , the cpu is at 50 degree max, but the gpu, some games make it go up to 70 degree, which is warm enough i think
  11. i keep my heater on , hands still cold :D, also if ur on pc browsing the net u`ll have an easier time to warm ur hands every now and then, unlike when u`re playing which most likely ur pc will be atleast 50 degrees i know its kinda silly but a cool idea , i think
  12. It`s that time of year where u are trying to play your favorite game but your hands are getting too cold. You could wear gloves, but some people like me can`t play with them. So after thinking of several ways to keep your hands warm, i thought why not mod your pc, to take the exhaust heat and make it blow down onto ur keyboard, mouse area. I lack the expertise to design such a thing , but i am putting this idea out there a properly crafted (or 3d printed) duct that funnels your gpu , or cpu air to ur hands , this can work easily with blower gpu cards , and some cpu coolers this duct could also have a valve that sends the flow to another area if ur hands are getting toasty. Would love to see someone expand on this idea, or heck even LTT making some janky setup like this!!
  13. Also got the gtx 1050 ti , i was gonna start saving up to buy a 2070 super at the start of 2020 , and by the time i had the money to buy it , it would be 1 or 2 month before the rumored ampere gpu`s release correct me if am wrong, but they are supposed to be released in june 2020(or announced in june, released in sept, or augest idk) , so am gonna wait till then, i tolerated my good old 1050 ti for the past 4 years, i could wait for a couple more month, i would say if ur in a similar position, wait a bit more, if ur not gonna get the rumored new gen, maybe u`ll see a price drop on the 2060 super(or 2070) when the new gen is out. I would have felt very dumb if i had bought a 2070 super 1 month before the new gen released somehow i didnt notice that at 1st, glad i did
  14. Hey guys, i recently built a new rig , but its still running my old 1050 ti and it currently barely handles 2019 titles at 60fps 1080p medium, which is way lower than the 144hz my monitor is at. So am planning on getting a new gpu , a 2070 S (no more non supers on my side) , but been wondering about the options , twin fans or tri fans?? Will there be a big difference in temps and noise?? Performance??? Any specific recommendations on vendors(msi, evga, giga, zotac)?? Also been planning on adding a vertical gpu mount , i`ve seen the cablemod mount , are there any other options than that? thnx P.S. i dont really care about rgb on gpus cause my case already has enough , and already gonna add a led strip under the card for lighting
  15. Thanks alot! it is running as intended should i do that tho?switch it to uefi?? or just keep as it is also tried to copy files from nvme to the ssd and speeds were barely 100 mb/s is that normal?
  16. As the title says, currently built a new pc, mobo is msi mag z390 tomahawk I have a Kingston 240gb nvme as boot drive, but i can't figure out if it is running in nvme got a 1 tb hdd and a sata ssd Boot is set as legacy +uefi, setting it to uefi doesn't show any drive. Appreciate any help!
  17. To be fair that i7 is a 3rd gen , it is really old, ur better off buying something new , a i5 8400,8500, or 9600 , u will have more life out of them, and they are good for gaming, u never know if a 7 year old used mobo can die on u , and there is amd , which u dont appear to like
  18. Thing is parts are going out of stock fast here(there is a major increase of pc gamers here, consoles were dominant,i was of the rare few who played on pc lol) and the plan i set takes 4~5 month, and according to my research no cpu or mobo that i am interested in will launch ? , but i still wonder, will the ram prices drop further??
  19. wtf? how? my old 3rd gen i3 and 1050 ti are getting 130 fps @1080p high settings try using these startup opions, right click on cs go in steam, go to properties and click start up options : -high -threads 8 +cl_forcepreload 1 -d3d9ex try with or without -d3d9ex also lower the fxaa and filtering to lowest and check if ur windowed or fullscreen in options in cs also did u put the fps limit to 300 in console??
  20. So the ram prices are going down, 8gb of ddr4 went down from 60$ to 45$ , and 16 gb went down from 118 to 84 gb(prices are in my country) I am in the process of buying parts for my new pc each month, and i planned to keep the ram till the end cause i knew it was gonna become cheaper, BUT the question is will the prices go down even more??? How long should i wait before the prices go back up? i still got to get a case and a psu , so should i get those and wait more for the ram??? i don`t want to wait too long and the prices go back up. also should i get 2 x16gb if they become even cheaper??? i know they might be a bit useless but better get them while they are cheap,am i right???? Thnx for ur time!!
  21. i was planning on getting the z390 pro carbon , would have cost me more , but it also went out of stock here , there is a major increase in pc gaming in my country also i googled alot before getting my board , most said it was good, but cant handle like overclocking to like 4,9 ghz , but i dont plan overclocking anyway, got mainly because all the other boards had less fan/usb/rgb headers, looked like crap(and other things too, these are just the 1st to remember haha) , and wouldnt be good with a i9 or i7 when i upgrade later
  22. lol i didnt mean lesser tier as in this list, i meant as in lesser features and other stuff, prices on my side are bullshit lol my 1st plan was a amd cpu , ended up costing me 150$ more than the intel ( which at that time was with a 8600 before it went out of stock)
  23. i was planning on getting a amd build, but it ended up costing about the same with 2666 ram and a lower tier board) , or more if i wanted to get faster ram and same tier board, prices in country are stupid even some amd cards cost more than nvidia cards .....
