  1. read the motherboard manual. It will give you the correct information as to what each fan header is for. as far as the corsair unit I agree it sounds like they are making things more complex than necessary. maybe reach out to there tech support.
  2. It wont do any damange. if you want the motherboard to control the fan rpm connect to the cpu if you want the fan to run full rpm all the time connect to aio. BTW all this is in the manual. you wont damage the pump in either.
  3. i have the ROG Strix b-450 f gaming. and the difference is the aio_pump header will run the fans at full speed (Better airflow over the radiator) the CPU_Fan will change the fan's rpm's based on temp. I have my aio connected to the pump header and find this better in my rig for best temps. BTW you will need to disable the 200rpm fan alarm on the cpu header if you go this route
  4. Thanks all. that is what I figured but wanted other opinions.
  5. Hi all, I have a rx590 by xfx the "fatboy" I have replaced the thermal past with thermal grizzley kryonot. My question is. Should I also replace the thermal pads for the memory and VRM? My card is not overheating even with the stock fan profile. (I am running a more agressive fan profile). Also What thickness should I get? Tim
