  1. I'm helping a friend with his coolermaster elite 110 build, he's using left over parts his older brother gave him. Build (only cpu is new) CM Elite 110 MSI B450itx/1600af Corsair 3000 mhz 16gb CM ML120 rgb MSI rtx 2060 aero Corsair sfx 600 gold+ No overclocking our question is: We're using the rad as intake and the psu as exhaust, we only have 1air and 1 static pressure fan for push and pull. Should we use the air fan as pull and static as push or should we go the other way around?
  2. Has anyone used their GPU's long term before? I've heard of them on YouTube channels that are located in England or Europe. But I don't think anyone in America sells them, but a card found its way to our resale pc parts shop. I see their cards aren't too expensive but how's the quality? And their performance?
  3. I had a blower vega 56 then I sold it, it was screaming like a banshee or like my 4 year old cousin when she comes visiting. I sold it to a guy that was going to custom liquid cool it.
  4. lol, usually I just take it as me American you Canadian ya?
  5. I was tuning the vram and clock speeds, undervolting and comparing it to my test bench system. Tests Cinebench Heaven Farcry V Assassin creed origins Fraps Games Assassin's creed origins, dirt 4,Tomb raider shadows, apex legends Battlefield V and rocket league
  6. Is it me or is amd's vega 56 catching up to Nvidia's rtx 2060? I'm doing some gpu tuning for a build a client requested, it feels like the vega 56 seem to have higher fps?
  7. Hmm really, thanks for letting me know, tho so far I haven't had any problems. But thank you
  8. Woah is right, he's even got instructions on how to soder the smoker's wire to the power button, to release a puff of smoke (neutral oil spray) when you turn on the system. This is going to be an interesting build.

  10. I plan to use a zotac rtx 2080 8gb amp so no need to mod I think.

  12. That's why if Ryzen 3000s r5 range is 8cores/16threads Intel's balls are in the nutcracker machine for sure.
  13. Both are priced the same, which would you go for and why? Thanks for your opinions.
  14. lol, finally someone can feel my pc pains.
  15. And my uncle still says "Dee" you're getting paid too much =.= I get paid usd$980.00 for all my work. Not forgetting I have to do the product videos myself, and I build the pc from my own pocket, no company sub claims.
  16. My cousin Eddie uses threadripper2 (custom loop) for work + gaming with a 2080ti and he still complains it's too slow and hot.
  17. When my customers tell me they want to play shadow or FC5 I don't evev want to recommend the R5 2600/2600x
  18. Try this : triple 1440p 144hrz QHD Assassin's creed, doing the store's accounting, uploading new product videos and editing. Believe me the Ryzen 2700 sweats
  19. Yes, for 1080p 60fps it doesn't really matter, at the moment but don't forget gaming and workwise. Unless you're a pure gamer whichwouldn't even go less then1440p 144hrz at no less then 120fps. In the months of systems I've build rarely gamers come in for budget parts unless they are just starting to game.
  20. Thanks I know, I ment the 8 true cores over 6 for gaming of late.
  21. Yea agreed, and that's why AMD gave us the 2400G or the G series for future budget builds.
  22. I run a small pc build/maintenance corner in my uncle's hardware store. Over 7 months since I've opened up I've noticed more gaming builds request of either the ryzen 7 or the 9700K for their 8 cores and 16 threads. I know that usually the standard 6 cores is more then enough for gaming but more games are starting to utilize more threads or core such as (shadow of Tomb raider), I'm starting to think that we're back to the 2/4/4-8 setting again just as games start to utilize more of the threads. So I'm actually not surprised at the rumors about ryzen 3000 being 6/8/12 cores. Just as game is changing I'm sure even the light workstations will benefit from the extra cores/threads. I just hope the rumors are true so AMD can kick Intel in the nuts with Ryzen. I used to find 8 cores overkill for gaming, but now it's normal since I play "Assassin's creed", even my workload has been much easier for me since I've switched out the R5 for the R7 2700 on my workhorse pc. I m starting to belive the 6 core/12 threads may be the next 2 cores/4 threads or 4 cores/ 8 threads.
  23. Thanks sir I'll get the threadripper with ECC ram then for safety concerns, thank you for the advice, first time doing such a big project.
  24. I was more worried on stability and end user link security, as I need to be able to program a site lock. Encryption to run 24/7, and a security software I'm not used to that's supposed to be connected to the principal's home system
