Powder coating is a fancy way to paint metal. Your PSU is powder coated.

True showcase of the geniuses at apple.

One day, I went to my local apple store with a PowerMac G4. I wanted to test just how dumb somebody could be, and elected that this was the best way.

This PowerMac G4 had no HDD, but was fully functional. I walked into the store trying to get help as to why I couldn't install macOS.

Spent an hour and a half there laughing internally as "geniuses" try and:

Plug a Firewire 800 drive into a FW 400 only machine

Be baffled by the lack of installable medium

Be bewildered by literally everything infront of them.

Literally be unable to test it full stop for about 45 minutes as they dig a VGA monitor out of mothballs.

This was in 2016, still funny as hell.

TBH I would make sure to snag up a few of those reverse engineered Chinese mobo's for X79/X99 etc systems and pay next to nothing (sometimes only $40-60 shipped on Aliexpress) and hope to get it through customers

IMO It's best to start in the heavier weight classes, you can spend more time learning the designs and less time engineering around TINY weight classes. Do note I havent been involved in the scene since ~2010, so this may be a bit out of date...

Best place to start is by breaking down a mobility scooter. You get 1 or 2 motors, tires, motor controllers, batteries... Theyre really great to do this stuff cheap. That, square stock steel, and a cheap welder. Once you get something that looks like what you want and can work how you want focus on the radio control bit.

Feel free to ask more questions. I spent a lot of time talking the ears off the nightmare team, especially Jim.

Yes, I knew what you meant, I just wanted you to clarify the wording as your comparison could've been interpreted as a direct reply to OP's question by someone less attentive and thus get confused. As you did clarify the wording, I don't have anything further to say ?

SenKa got a reaction from Lurick in FCBGA vs BGA
I am not very well versed in this sort of stuff, but I do know enough to have an opinion.

    BGA Pros-
    Package is overall denser
Performance is likely to be higher

    BGA Cons-
Harder to work around and repair as they do not like to be reheated using the traditional top-down method due to the high likelyhood of layers flexing. (Louis rossman has a fantastic rant about this in relation to the 2010-2012 A1278 Macbook Pro's GPU failure issues.)

Due to the ball-grid soldering as apposed to pins, the chips are often weaker and less resistant to mechanical stress

BGA is a very large standard, but these points are valid for most if not all of them.

SenKa got a reaction from BTGbullseye in What’s the difference between GDDR6 vram and HBM2?
HBM2 is faster, but MUCH more expensive. Thats why for gaming the recent HBM cards (Vega, namely) aren't very price competitive because I am not aware of a single game that leverages GPU compute to the point of the memory bandwidth mattering that much.

I havent seen a hyundai in ages, other than the volestor's because hot hatches are so damned popular here.

NA and European focus are different cars. First gen NA focus is an ugly thing in my opinion, 2nd gen and up is good. Euro focus' always look good.

I used the XB Evo for a long time, its a very large case but great to use. Only issue is with the top 200MM fan mount and some tall GPU's you may have clearance issues.
