@Pascal... I do, but it had Windows installed and I didn't feel like installing linux to be testing an unknown laptop.

There is 1GB of soldered RAM on this laptop, and it is bad. No BSOD, but lots of screen corruption at random. I paid nothing for it, so a free MSATA SSD is nice.

SenKa got a reaction from PacketMan in AirPods? 100/100 My Calculus grade? 60/100
@dizmo Depends on what the scale is off of. OP has Airpods 2nd gen, which are 100/100 in terms of being (AFAIK) the easiest and smallest to carry in a pocket true wireless with a charging case. Sound quality for certain generas of music are also quite good, especially if they seal well in your ears like they do mine.

Airpods Pro are 100/100 in spatial awareness supported truly wireless earbuds, as (again, AFAIK. Please correct me if I'm wrong) they have no competition! Also sound quality perceived is better due to the more universal seal. I also do believe theyre genuinely better due to a new speaker design

@Schnoz The shame is the rest looked fairly good!

Bad parts were the PSU and cooler, which was a slim intel stock cooler like you'd get from an i3.

SenKa got a reaction from Ryan_Vickers in Quote Sooo, I have been a very happy iPhone 11 Pro Max user as of late. The extra bat
Your best guess is as good as mine. I keep the phone in a soft cloth pocket at all times and have never dropped it, I don't even put anything else in the pocket with it.

My best guess is that the top layer of glass is softer to keep it from shattering while dropped. Regardless Apple needs to fix the issue as me and Linus are far from the only ones who have experienced this @Ryan_Vickers

SenKa got a reaction from DrMacintosh in I'm very excited about buying my Great Grandmas White 1992 Cadillac Brougham D'Elegan
Those cadillacs are indestructible in a front or side collision, but the roof is rather weak and quite dangerous in rollovers (speaking from experience here). I'm amazed its financially viable in cali by gas price alone, but for such a pretty old Cadillac I'd say its worth it so long as you aren't on the tap water and ramen diet because of it.

Anyways, parts should be cheap as considering it's a GM vehicle. Also being a 90's GM product the following things can/will fail:
    Window regulators
Blower motors (fixable, the resistor for speed control is built in to the fan and tends to fry)
Dash cluster (Not always, I think you're lucky here)
Power antenna (grease dries up and adds friction, frying the motor)

Worst vehicle I had for "can and will fail" was a 96 Landrover Discovery. Every switch was packed with a grease that was meant to keep moisture and rust away, which is normal. What's not so normal is that the grease deteriorates and ruins the switches! Every single switch, including the windshield wiper and turning signal stalks, will fail. There was never an updated part made, so you just keep buying them. And no, you can't open them up and clean them.

SenKa got a reaction from Schnoz in Pulled my dying Seagate 1.5TB drive out of my JBOD array, I can now sleep at night
It actually sounded perfectly fine, but SMART data was very concerning. Lots of reallocated sectors and lost capacity. I don't know how Windows 10 handles JBOD, if it would allow an array to reinitialize without one of its members or not. I just don't want to risk it, honestly. @Schnoz
