  1. iPhone 8 as well, theyre still being sold. But nobody does LTS better than Apple, and I would suggest their phones to most people because of it. In the end a phone is a tool, and a good tool does not become obsolete quickly.
  2. My best guess (reading the description is fairly plain to me) is that its basically Apples version of the Red Rocket Accelerator Card, so basically just a compute card. Will it be able to work outside of Apples ecosystem? Up in the air, but I would certainly hope so. A "pro" product should shape to its user, the user should not shape to it.
  3. Not a problem, remember to mention me so I see your replies!
  4. Not a problem. PCI-E 8X slots are quite rare on consumer boards, forcing you to waste a 16x slot that could be used with a separate GPU for folding, or quite literally anything else.
  5. Yes, but PSU's also shouldn't be run at peak current draw. That's probably a ~500w system, which SHOULD put it right in the efficiency curve for a nice 750w unit like I suggested.
  6. Thats a pretty bad PSU, that case looks like a hotbox, and I would trust a WD Green drive with my data as securely as writing all my personal and identifying information on a piece of paper, ripping it cleanly in half, and placing it on top of a trash can in NYC. In a short word, change your PSU, Case, and Storage. PSU, go for a CM V750 as a cheap fully modular PSU. Case, pick basically anything that doesnt have a glass or plexi front panel Storage, WD Blue is leagues better for HDD's, and for SSD's I would never cheap out on one. Get a nice samsung or kingston drive, even if its lower capacity.
  7. I wouldn't OC your CPU much at all, the Tomahawk B350 is quite poor board for VRM thermals even running at spec. As Sorenson said, is your RAM running at 3000MHz?
  8. Well with that PCI-E 8x slot on the ROG you can put in a nice 10GB NIC!
  9. I mean... kinda? I edit for youtubers somewhat regularly. Who says you need to be a girl! ?
  10. I see no reason to not go for the Asus board. More PCI-E slots, looks better (imo), more substantial heatsinks, higher amperage power delivery (obvious to see by the 2x8 Pin vs 8 Pin + 4 Pin on the ASRock), only obvious downside is you lose 2 SATA slots going for the Asus, but you gain U.2. So, TL;DR I would pick the asus board. Any reason you're not waiting for Zen 2 based threadrippers?
  11. Nope. He got his money back and will be reinstated in 6 months rather than 12. Opinion/My answer to the OP: I used to be a semi-pro in OW, D.Va main since day 1 and regularly hovered in masters and kissed GM a few times, played on a local league. Put the game down when Brig and Doom launched because good lord did they tilt me, and still do even though theyre quite shite. Was just getting back in to the swing of things with Baptiste and Genji (had always played Genji but never bothered with being a DPS in my league, we had better players for it.), heard the news, and have not launched the game since. I don't care how much Activision-Blizzard backpedals, the fact that they ever thought that silencing the voice of one of their players was a remotely good idea is enough to show me that they aren't worth my time. Does it matter to them in the grand scheme of things? No. I never bought loot boxes and gave them no money directly, didn't even buy the game though them. Do I feel a little better about myself knowing im not supporting their actions? Yeah. As to the actual topic of the HK riots, I have 0 reason to care either way as I know nobody in HK nor have I ever dealt with a person from HK in my life knowingly. All I will say on the matter is that I would hope that the citizens of HK know what is best for them and will act accordingly. Also, I'll say it because I know as soon as a mod checks this thread they will.: Keep it civil guys, political discussion is allowed to the point at which it stops being a discussion and becomes an argument.
  12. Hey man, free is free! 2011 V3 is a fairly good socket as well, This is a list of compatible CPU's. If you have the scratch, I would 100% make a build out of it.

So, an update on my personal rig. Obviously hav…

Maybe this is in your future?
  14. FCA vehicles also run Android AFAIK. It certainly looks/feels like android.
  15. Apple outsources their repair work to a third party, the genius' are sales reps and VERY basic diagnostics workers. Never, ever, under any circumstances, bring your device to Apple for repairs. AASP's will, 9/10 times, give you better and more reliable service, and use the same OEM parts Apple does. And a good non-certified repair shop will also use the same quality parts, not to mention charge you less for them. I am a repair tech myself, run a small business doing it. I personally vet my suppliers before I offer their parts to my customers, and order legit parts straight from china.
  16. I really am enjoying Anthony doing the Apple reviews as of late. In his scripts every statement is backed up with facts and he is fair to both the good and bad of the device in question. Apple does indeed have major innovation to do, but the devices they have put out now STILL offer compelling reasons to upgrade over previous models to some people. Even quite possibly the smallest incremental upgrade of iPhones to my memory, the X to the XS, offered real reasons to upgrade. Better hardware security in its SOC (evident if nothing else by it being immune to CheckM8), and a more powerful chip with greater efficiency. Hows the battery on your 6s holding up Anthony? Did you get a replacement during the free period? I have 2 6s' laying around and the worst of the 2 is at 94% health.
  17. Because you do have a natural 0 (a requirement to make a valid graph), it is just not a numeric 0. The 0 point of the graph does not affect the data being portrayed visually, but starting the graph at 0 would be mathematically incorrect as I stated earlier. I can still very easily discern that the black U12S was between 1 and 2 DBA quieter, and roughly 2c cooler; thusly the graph is valid as meaningful valid data can be quickly pulled from it. Basically: Starting from numerical or natural 0 does not matter from a visual perspective, but for true correctness from a mathematical standpoint the editor was correct by starting from the natural 0 of the data set, not numerical 0. That is fair, but at the same time I believe the point was that they did not want to include ambient sound in their data set and started from ambient in whatever room they were in. I seem to remember a video where they explained this was their ideology, but couldn't tell you what or when. I think the indication is fairly obvious, but not going down to ambient does deviate it from the way they graphed sound so I am going to agree with you that they should have extended to ambient. Overall the biggest sin is not including the variance of measurement in their graph, by far.
  18. In these cases I believe its because the data before it is literally impossible to measure. Your zero point is not 0 because under no reasonable circumstances will you be in a 0DBA room for noise testing nor will your CPU idle at 0 degrees. When your zero point is not 0, measuring data before it statistically is the same as insinuating that the measurement is negative up until said zero point.

I'm very excited about buying my Great Grandmas…

Those cadillacs are indestructible in a front or side collision, but the roof is rather weak and quite dangerous in rollovers (speaking from experience here). I'm amazed its financially viable in cali by gas price alone, but for such a pretty old Cadillac I'd say its worth it so long as you aren't on the tap water and ramen diet because of it. Anyways, parts should be cheap as considering it's a GM vehicle. Also being a 90's GM product the following things can/will fail: Window regulators Blower motors (fixable, the resistor for speed control is built in to the fan and tends to fry) Dash cluster (Not always, I think you're lucky here) Power antenna (grease dries up and adds friction, frying the motor) Worst vehicle I had for "can and will fail" was a 96 Landrover Discovery. Every switch was packed with a grease that was meant to keep moisture and rust away, which is normal. What's not so normal is that the grease deteriorates and ruins the switches! Every single switch, including the windshield wiper and turning signal stalks, will fail. There was never an updated part made, so you just keep buying them. And no, you can't open them up and clean them.
  20. I didn't get it! Rip TBF the picture was posted uncensored in another thread so I see all I wanted to see ?
  21. Out of curiosity, when you buy a new laptop are you going to be selling your old blade?
  22. Yeah $430 for the 27" vs $300 for the 32" LMAO
  23. Thats something else I really don't mind, as I don't use it anyways. Thats actually quite a decent monitor, but im going to see what others say because $430 is quite a pill to swallow. The 32" version is cheaper what the hell. Thats an amazing monitor! But I am going to wait and see what others say before I pull the trigger. Thank you very much!
