  1. Ive heard a lot of people say the 40 series have sucky trackpads, though i've never used one. I WOULD be weary of any dual core that isn't upgradable though. With that being said, there is a guide to replace the trackpad if you dont like it. http://diy.mironto.sk/thinkpad-x240-replacing-touchpad-and-keyboard/
  2. All T410 and up can be upgraded to a quad core actually, ignoring the models with soldered CPU's. If theyre the same price then go for the T440 or T440s, for sure. I absolutely LOVE the X201-X230 line of tablet thinkpads, but the reality is that they aren't all that great anymore unless you can live with a dual core and limited RAM expandability.
  3. I can tell you, as an owner of several Thinkpad tablet models. You will NOT use it as much as you think you will. They are too bulky to actually be used to take notes, IMO. I had an X201T, which I loved to death, but the simple fact was that It wasn't a great tablet for much other than laying it on my desk and playing OSU!. T440/T440S are great machines. I daily a T430 and love it to death. If you wanna save some cash over a T440, pick one up. Ivy bridge to Haswell mobile isn't a big jump in performance, moreso battery life. But, I get something like 8-9 hours with my T430 with the best factory display option, and an HDD. Mind you, I do have a brand new 9 cell battery in mine.
  4. If we removed Anthony, this video would remind me of a Druaga1 video, but with a tweaker as the host instead of a stoner. I love it.
  5. Steve addressed this during a stream. He puts things in the "correct" order largely out of habit, but he also acknowledges that once the water heat soaks, if there is a difference, it is within the margin of error of conventional testing. I believe that is quoting him correctly, but this WAS a while ago now. Jay also did a test of this, and came to that conclusion.
  6. Yeah im not sure why windows and why NOT apple, literally anything would work... Largest tablet (not 2-1 laptop) I am aware of is the Samsung Galaxy View 2: https://www.ebay.com/i/164086403313?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=164086403313&targetid=883313841093&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9012287&poi=&campaignid=9418891400&mkgroupid=96614824478&rlsatarget=aud-622524042478:pla-883313841093&abcId=1141016&merchantid=107663637&gclid=Cj0KCQiAhojzBRC3ARIsAGtNtHWbjcifIpU7N7OXMM_MIFnuN8AU32LRQsgPMBxD20hMrm6eJNLQAwUaAu5jEALw_wcB
  7. uhhhh. i mostly just ask my folks for things that I need at the time, but haven't been able to buy due to lack of funds. A couple new pairs of jeans, maybe some shoes or a hat or something. They always surprise me with one or two extras, but thats it. I spend my birthdays with people i love, and share smiles. Thats all the gift i need

Was just about to take logitech off my good bra…

@Eschew Lied to my face about fixing the double click issues that plague the G903, GPW, and other mice. Failed to honor warranty. Their products are great (the double click issue is Omiron's issue, not logi's directly), but once i get blatantly lied to TWICE in the span of 5 minutes on a phone call after waiting a half hour for the pleasure of aforementioned lying I just can't give that company any more of my business. Razer has treated me very well thus far, they are my current recommendation for peripherals (save for headsets, I have not used Razer's headsets at all and can't speak to them). If you like the G903 but want a mouse that will last more than 7 months of use (how long my SECOND G903 lasted. The one i have now), buy a Viper Ultimate. The way it handles charging is much more elegant than logi, the dongle can go in the mouse for travel, the sensor is of equal or better quality, the wireless latency is even lower than the G903/GPW (effectively identical to wired in every measurable way), AND the switches are optical and thus shouldn't trigger accidentally. NOTE: I am a claw gripper, with 19x11cm hands. YMMV with comfort.
  9. Was just about to take logitech off my good brand list at the top of my signature, only to realize i forgot to put them there in the first place. Anyways, I will not be buying from them again.

Whoa. Sorry to hear you had to deal with crap customer service.

Thanks for replying, I appreciate the info! I hope the rest of your day/evening/night goes better. ?

Nontheless I will be using their products for ever. Their MX Master Mouse series is the best Mouse ever, imho.

  10. Mouse shape is the big one. I can 100% vouch for the sensor, as i played high level Overwatch for quite a while with my G903. Only issue is logitech has yet to fully sort double clicking issues with their left and right click. Seems to be better as of late, but not totally gone. Ive gone through one, but i will say that their customer service is one of the best in tech. I gave them the SN and described the issue, they mailed me a new one. Never needed to send the old one back. And the old one, I didn't even buy new. It was second hand from Goodwill. No requests for proof of purchase. EDIT: I picked the 903 because im left handed.
  11. Tampa FL, im assuming. Ill buy it off em, im in Bradenton.
  12. I can tell you on full send (~500w) for my Rm1000i, my 12v rail reports as 12.00v. At idle... also 12.00v. So while 11.7 IS within ATX spec, dont be afraid to blame it if you begin experiencing issues with stability. A very slight voltage fluctuation like that won't cause any issues with component life, which i am assuming is your main concern since everything is working fine.
  13. So thats 3000MHz CAS16 with slightly tighter timings. Watch some videos on how to OC RAM, and work on bringing those timings down now.
  14. Sounds like your laptop may just be on its way out. Crashing under synthetics, BSOD's... All i can recommend is a windows reinstall.
  15. Have you tried tooling around with manual overclocking on your RAM? Just because it's rated for 3000MHz doesn't mean it can't go further. From what I understand, Zen likes timings more than frequency (though both help, of course). If you're running XMP the timings are probably super loose, based off my experience. Install CPU-Z if you don't have it already, and show us the memory tab. It should look something like this, but with different numbers. (Do note these are the XMP values for my ram, which are really loose. I haven't reapplied my OC, havent had the time to mess with it)
  16. If your laptop is crashing under load i think it's done for. Does it crash under any other type of load, such as Prime95 or IntelBurnTest?

Would surprise me, but at the same time wouldn't. I hope he doesn't, for the sake of making things more interesting than a 2 horse race. Also taking votes away from biden, potentially.

Not surprised Buttigieg isn't fairing well with southern dems. This is biden's territory, 100%. Id bet the majority of obama voters are voting biden now, since he seems oh so happy to equate himself to his former boss. I'd also rather a half picked-apart raccoon corpse in the oval office.
  20. Varies based off state here in the US. In my state you need one for a golf cart but not an ATV
  21. No use going up the upgrade path of that CPU. Its a dead end, and prices don't make sense. The BEST that CPU line has to offer is 4 cores and 4 threads, with the performance of an Intel processor from ~2012-2013. If you want to swap the CPU to something else, you'll need a motherboard, and RAM. Storage is on its way out, it's a cheap prebuilt with a likely very cheap PSU, GPU is last gen and weak sauce... Moral of the story is you aught to throw a cheap 1TB HDD in that system to replace the dying one, sell it off, and start from scratch. I get thats not for everybody, and if you want to just replace the storage and keep rocking, pick up a 1TB SSD. Something like that you can take with you to your new system. https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Inch-Internal-MZ-76E1T0B-AM/dp/B078DPCY3T/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=1tb+ssd&qid=1582947102&sr=8-1
  22. To be fair, a lot of companies that don't offer great warranties dont exactly plaster them on the front of the box. While yes, that should be a dead giveaway in itself, it's less thought provoking than "ONE YEAR WARRENTY!!!" on a yellow and red sticker slapped on every flat surface of the box. It seems these PSU's are most popular in india and parts of asia, where options are slim for the budget and even mid-grade markets due to pricing.
  23. Yep. Id wager an overclocked 2600x + 2060 is pulling something around 400-450w. I 100% doubt that that PSU is really good for the "587w" it claims per my googling. Replace the PSU ad I would bet it fixes the issue. Brief research states its made by SAMA, who I have never heard of. But what tells it all as to the quality is the warrenty of the PSU, 1 year. That is one third corsair's absolute cheapest PSU's, which are "only suitable for office use". I think/hope that says all you need to know.
  24. Review: Its really great, beautiful, always on display should have been there from day 1. Price went up. Something something android WearOS Sucks. If you wanna buy a smart watch buy this one. If this one costs too much and you dont really card about AOD buy a series 4 because its basically the same thing. Source: Coming from a series 4 owner, and my experience with many series 5 owners.
