  1. Good Morning I am in the process of upgrading my pc. https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/Categories/Products/Memory/Vengeance-PRO-RGB-Black/p/CMW64GX4M4C3200C16#tab-overview will this memory work on my ASRock B550 Taichi with ryzen 5 3600 (upgrading to ryzen 9 5900x soon)
  2. Good day I am currently in need of a new motherboard as mine has been giving my some issues. I currently am looking at the following 2 boards. 1: ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming Velocita ($249.18) 2: ASRock B550 Taichi ($354.12) the pricing is a direct conversion for my currency. Now my actual pc specs are changing soon, but for the moment i have: Ryzen 5 3600 Asus Rog Strix RX 5700 XT 16GB Trident Z Royal 3000mhz ram. I am looking to upgrade to a Ryzen 9 5900x and a 3080 TI/Super once they launch with 64gb kit of ram My question is. is the Taichi worth the $104.94 difference? I have always looked at the Taichi and have loved it since day 1, but i cannot seem to find a difference in these 2 boards except for wifi and an extra pci slot
  3. Will have a look at these thanks. Will rather go for 650 to be save Out of the list the most attractive one is this one i have just never heard about the brand
  4. I am in south africa. so Wootware or Evetech. Wootware Evetech
  5. I currently have a 600w but i want to go modular. the best modular i can find below 850w is 650w @ $20 less than a 850/1000w. I don't mind spending the extra $20
  6. i don't need 850W. but the extra headroom is nice for overclocking. 3700x + Rtx 2070 Super. but seeing as the price is currently more or less the same between 850-1200w i don't see the point in going for a 850w over a 1200w or 1000w
  7. Hi There guys I am currently on the market to get a new power supply as i am doing more overclocking and getting some new hardware. I am looking at 5 options for power supplies and they are all withing $20 of each other. I wanted to get a 850W as that will be more than enough for what i need but my local retailer is running a special on the EVGA Supernova G2 1000-XR. In the lineup below which would be the best to get EVGA G2 1000-XR SuperNOVA EVGA P2 12000W SuperNova Platinum (if this is a good psu i would go for this) Super Flower SF-850 Leadex III ARGB 850W (Cause RGB is life) Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 850W Antec HCG-850 Gamer Extreme Thanks in Advance
  8. Hi There guys I am buying a new upgrade kit from my local retailer this black friday. Its a ryzen 7 3700x with 32gb corsair vengance 3200mhz ram(have the option for 3600mhz for extra $50). My 2 choices they give on their kits is ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING ASUS ROG Strix X470-F Gaming The price difference is also about $30 I have a Coolermaster MASTERLIQUID ML360R RGB and want to overclock the chip as far as possible. I use my pc for Programming (heavy cpu and ram) and for online gaming fast paced (Apex Legends, Modern Warfare) Which motherboard will the be the best to go for and is it worth the extra $50 for the ram speed upgrade? B450 Option X470 Option Its very important for me that the motherboard has an build in IO shield as i am using the Thermaltake Core P90 case so no place for motherboard shield.
  9. yeah i know its all about the silicone lottery. I don't care about pusing it to far. just want my ram to run @ its clocked speed at least and my cpu to reach its full turbo boost + like 0.2 - 0.5
  10. Hey guys thanks for all the great replies. I will look into a few of the B450 boards mentioned above. But will i be able to get as good an overclock going on a B series board than on an X series? I mean i have the capacity to overclock a lot with the MasterLiquid 360ML, would be a shame to waist it
  11. Hi There guys I currently have a Ryzen 5 1600x and want to upgrade it to a R5 3600x or R7 3700x, depends on what the prices will be on black friday. but for now i am gonna buy the motherboard. My question is is worth it going for X570 over X470? My option for X570 is the Gigabyte X570 Gaming X coming in at $230 or should i rather go for one of the following x470 MSI X470 GAMING PRO coming in at $192 or the ASUS PRIME X470-PRO coming in at $202 I have a 16gb kit of Trident Z Royal 3000mhz ram and a Cooler master Masterliquid ML360R RGG for cooling. Running a 2tb nvme storage. with a few other sata ssd's. i currently have a 650w power supply but going to get a 1000w with the new cpu as i will then be upgrading my gpu from a Zotac 1070 AMP EXTREME to a 2060 SUPER or 2070 SUPER. I am just not sure what motherboard in that price range will work best for me as i wish to overclock the cpu aswell. Currently on my B350 board overclocking is not working out for me and my ram is only running @ 2800mhz. Think the motherboard i have is faulty.
  12. After some more testing i am not 100% but i would say its related to the x-amp profile not setting the timings correct? I still get a bit of mouse stutter even on 2800mhz, no crashes but the stuttering is annoying
  13. So i reseated the cpu and moved the memory back to dual channel config. When i run it at a-xmp profile 1 2800mhz its working without a problem. As soon as i select a-xmp profile 2 3000mhz and it loads into windows it blue screens with Memory Management Error
  14. thanks for the response. Will try this tomorrow and let you know if it works
  15. Hi There guys I am having some issues with my pc after added my new cooler master masterliquid ml360r rgb. I keep getting blue screens with different errors. Formatted pc 3 times, still happend. The problem was resolved by moving my 16gb(2 x 8gb) trident z royal ram from the correct dual channel slots to the incorrect once and that seems to have fixed it as its now running at 2000mhz instead of 3000mhz. So my pc part list. Ryzen 5 1600x not overclocked Msi B350 Pc Mate 16Gb Trident Z Royal 3000mhz (2 x 8GB) Nvidia GTX 1070 Zotac amp extreme pulling 2 x 1080p 27" samsung screens Antec VP600P power supply 1 x 500gb ssd 1 x 2TB mechanical drive 1 x 120mm blue led fan at the back 1 x cooler master masterliquid ml360r rgb (tripple fan full rgb) Corsair K55 keybord Cougar led mouse I ran benchmarks on everything and stress tests and everything is working 100%. All tests where run for 4 hours. I started thinking i might not have enough power. Is 600w enough or do i need to get a 750w or 850w psu. I am also soon upgrading to Ryzen 7 3700x on x470 or x570 I have all drivers updated to latest and all windows updates installed. The problem started the day after I installed the new cpu cooler (played rust for a 2 hours, software developer for 2 hours), next morning when i need to start working the problem started after 5 min of work. Previously it was the AMD Wraith Max RGB cooler
