In the description it says It is compatible with a bunch of different motherboard programs such as mystic light, aura sync, etc. for changing the color of the fans and logo, and I currently have a msi motherboard that does not have a rgb header. The only thing I used to change the LEDs on the mobo was the msi gaming app, which is pretty much crap, but it's needed. I'm just wondering if I'll still have the full capability to change the cooler to whatever color I like, regardless of having a specified rgb header. I know it comes with an rgb controller, but I'm assuming from the looks of it, it only has set colors to choose from, whereas I want a specific one. Hate to sound picky, but I'm buying it 50% for the rgb so I want it to look good. My motherboard is the MSI b350 gaming pro carbon.

A good single fan water cooler with a little RGB?

I was considering this, but was concerned when thinking about the same performance? Would it really be the same as just switching fans but keeping the heat sink? -
So I wouldn't need to go to msi's website and download their motherboard drivers?
-
When I first built my pc and started downloading drivers I didn't really know what I was doing. I still don't lmao. I just have so many unorganized files regarding mods and all my games and it's just a mess. I figured the easiest way to really CLEAN IT UP would be to do a full reset. I do realize that It's going to take a while to download everything I had, but it's been a big pet peeve of mine. Do you think you guys could guide me in the right direction for what drivers to download? & if there's a way to make a backup for specific things that I don't want to delete? Thanks! Specs: Ryzen 1600x MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon GTx 1050 ti 16 gb ram 2 separate storage drives, ssd and hhd, if that helps.

Right right. I had to OC one of my ram sticks too because it was running a little below it's native speeds. Not sure why they do that, but I'm not sure why your PC would go into a restarting cycle like that.

Does your PC run normally when xmp is disabled and the ram is left at it's manual speed?

It could potentially remove the cause, but I'd check more into your hard drive or other possibilities. Maybe a windows update? How are your temps?
-
if you think updating Arma 3 may have anything to do with it, you might try to uninstall it and see if that works.
-
Internet maybe?
-
Yeah you just have to pay attention to the description as well as the picture provided. A lot of the 1070s only require on cable, but I believe the 1070 ti does require two.
-
The Nvidia 1070 only requires one cable, but those are usually harder to grab.

Thank you!

Those replies were fast! I'll ignore it. Thanks you guys.

I built my first gaming PC in early February and did lots of research so I would be fully prepared. One thing I was never really sure of was if I should update my BIOS. I'd heard bad things about updating the BIOS, as well bad things when not updating the BIOS. My motherboard is the MSI Gaming Motherboard b350 Pro Carbon ATX AM4. I was afraid if I did it I could possibly brick my motherboard and waste all that money I'd spent, but now that some time has passed I'm still wondering if it's safe to ignore it. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not exactly sure where to check to find out my BIOS version either, in which I'm sure that is necessary to solve my problem, so that info would be appreciated as well .
