  1. I've actually managed to solve it. Simply changing the resolution down from 2560 x 1440 to 1920 x 1080 and then back again seems to have fixed it. Driver / windows problem? edit: The above text is not entirely correct. As I changed the resolution, the refresh rate was also lowered from 144hz to 60. Increasing it to 144 again made the problem arise again. It doesn't seem to be visible at 120hz either, only at 144.
  2. Never had the issue before and that is the only displayport I've been using. Tried switching through them all now but the problem persists.
  3. I have 3 screens connected at the moment One connected by HDMI - no problems. One connected in the DVI port with a HDMI adapter - no problems. One connected in Displayport - the only problematic one. Unfortunately I do not have any other displayport cables to test, but when I connected the displayport screen to a laptop with the same cable, the lines were nowhere to be found. When I connected it to my 980ti again the lines were back. If it were the cable or the display I would've gotten the same/similar problems on the laptop, correct? I used the same background to get the same shades of blue and played with some gradients in Photoshop but there were no problems.
  4. A couple of days ago I discovered some blue lines on my screen. I've mostly been ignoring it until today for some reason. The lines appear on different shades of blue, purple and red (haven't noticed them on any other color). It's only displaying on my Acer XB270HU monitor which is connected to a displayport, no lines on my other monitor. I've tried connecting the monitor to another computer (with the same cable) to rule it out - No lines with another computer. Also tried switching to another displayport on the card. Is the card dying? Took a couple of pictures with my phone as examples of the problem. Can't catch the problem on Gyazo though.
  5. My current CPU runs very hot when i play PuBG/WoW (over 90 degrees celsius) with a Corsair Hydro H60 (v2) cooler. Not actually sure if I dare to attempt overclocking at all. Current case was cleaned recently, and Thermal paste was changed about 6 months ago.
  6. Hello, I'm planning on getting an upgrade on my 4~years old computer. I upgraded the GPU to a MSI gtx 980ti a year ago so the GPU wont need an update just yet I believe. As per the sticky: I'm located in Sweden, budget will be about 1100 $USD It's going to be a gaming PC Main monitor is 2560x1440p 144hz, secondary is 1920x1080 60hz No need for new peripherals I'm upgrading due to my CPU bottlenecking in CPU heavy games, wanting quicker loadtimes with better memory, future proofing abit with m.2 capability. Old Specs: MB: MSI Z87-G45 GAMING ATX CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K 3.5 GHz (Haswell) GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB RAM: Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) CL10 1600MHz VENGEANCE LP PSU: FSP 650-80EGN 650W 80+ Gold, Bulk Storage: 2x Kingston SSD V300 120GB 1x OCZ Trion 100 240GB I'm planning on keeping the GPU, PSU and 2x of the SSDs Cost of this build is 9670SEK - $1094 USD New specs: MB: MSI X470 GAMING PRO CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 19MB GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB RAM: G.Skill 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz CL15 Trident Z PSU: FSP 650-80EGN 650W 80+ Gold, Bulk Storage: 1x Kingston SSD V300 120GB 1x OCZ Trion 100 240GB 1x Samsung 860 EVO 500GB Case: Fractal Design R6 My biggest worries right now are the new memory sticks, I've searched forums, reviews, AMD support pages, qvl lists for the MB - but all of them contradict one another on if the sticks will work fine or not. So here I am hoping for some specific answers on my build as a whole since it's my first Ryzen build. I'm also a bit concerned about the fan controller on the case - never actually had one on my old computers so I'm not sure if there might be a compatibility issue with my old PSU since the fans aren't MOLEX now as the ones i have right now. edit: new specs right now are at $1094 USD converted from swedish SEK
