  2. Thanks for the help. I definitely want to overclock my GPU and probably memory, do you think its worth overclocking the CPU for gaming?
  3. I've seen them in the driver software, and I'm assuming higher is better, but I don't know exactly what they do.
  4. I just built my first computer and am looking into overclocking, but have no idea how. My system is: i7-8700k cpu Noctua NH-D9L cpu cooler ASrock Z390 Phantom Gaming SLI/ac motherboard G.Skill Value DDR4-2666 memory (16gb) TEAM T-force Delta 1TB SSD storage MSI RTX 2080 VENTUS GPU (coming in a few days) Rosewill 650w 80+ gold full modular psu Anything is appreciated, thanks!
  5. Just looked at it, the seller copy and pasted fake reviews with different accounts, and hes selling a $500+ cpu for $30. definitely a scam.
  6. Srry for late reply. I'm new to PC building. It's gonna be powered by an RTX 2080. Thanks for the info
  7. I'm looking at buying this motherboard: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/CdPKHx/gigabyte-z390-gaming-x-atx-lga1151-motherboard-z390-gaming-x I noticed it doesn't have a displayport, only HDMI. I thought HDMI couldn't support higher FPS? Could I use this motherboard and still get 120+ FPS? Thanks.
  8. Thanks for replying. I have my settings worked out so I use the Nvidia gpu when I need it, but as is, with the Intel graphics as the primary gpu, the Nvidia control panel only shows 3d settings, the settings that the 1050 are used for. This means I can't activate G sync, and I was hoping changing my primary gpu could fix this.
  9. So I have a Lenovo yoga 720 laptop, which has both Intel graphics 620 and a gtx 1050. I have it connected to an external monitor (acer predator z35p) with a USB c to displayport cable. I was wondering if there was a way for the dp cable to be routed directly to the gtx 1050, instead of to the igpu, using the 1050 only when needed. Thanks!
