  1. Ok thank you very much for all the advices @Streetguru @Redicat!
  2. @StreetguruWhat does that mean, I don't understand it. So are you saying that brightness and color gamet just doesn't matter?
  3. Ok I'll look for 4K displays from now on. What about refresh rates, I've seen you've linked me 60Hz displays, will this be enough or should I get more? By the way the first one you've linked me is way above my budget.
  4. @StreetguruThanks for clarifying this for me! @Redicat Thanks for the advice. Though otherwise what would you think of the BenQ GW2765HT
  5. Also I'm using an Nvidia graphic card.
  6. What is free-sync exactly (haven't been able to find a clear answer as of now). And what is "BS marketing"? Sorry not native english.
  7. Any specific recommendation? I see IPS panels seem to vary a lot in terms of brightness and color gamet. To which extent should I be concerned about it? I want to be able to have a very good impression of colors while playing.
  8. For resolution I intend to take a WQHD monitor. As for the refresh rate all I've ever played with since now is a 60Hz monitor so I don't have any experience of how does a higher refresh rate monitor "feels like" which is pretty much why I'm asking your advices. I plan on mainly playing games with this monitor (not competitive action games though). Though it must also be suited for any normal use like programming, watching videos, movies, and such. This won't play much in the choice though I think.
  9. Hey I'm currently looking for a new monitor for my computer. Sadly I don't know all that much about monitors and have had even less experience with recent monitors (anything after 2010). I'm looking for a monitor which would allow me to play games though I'm not a competitive action kind of gamer so I don't think 144Hz refresh rate or 1ms of response time will be of any much use to me. I'm more attracted by beautiful monitors with good color and resolution. I want the price of the monitor to be at most at 400 € but would prefer if I could manage to keep it at around 300 €. I'm living in Western Europe by the way so prices are higher than in Northern America. Do you have any advice for me? Any great experiences on specific monitors? Advices on how to make my final choice? I'm open to all suggestions! Thanks in advance!
  10. Thanks for your answer. I'm wondering though, when I entered all my parts un PCpartpicker it gave me something under 400W and now you advise me something of 650W. I'm not sure to understand?
  11. Ho well you guys don't seem to agree on the voltage. Could explain me the reasons for your choice? @Streetguru@LienusLateTips
  12. Well thank you very much for all those advices. I'll still look around a bit more just in case. Your quickly given advices were really great! Thank you very much!I might still ask you a few more things but you've settled a lot of unanswered questions. Have a good evening/morning/whatever.
  13. Is having a modular PSU useful? In which cases is it useful? I've read the 2 main threads about PSU on this forum (the one with the tier and the one with the woltage). Are the PSU you've advised me well conceived? Do they power all the components correctly. Also you say 450W is enough (which I'm perfectly ok with) but is 100W for all other components enough. And will it still be if I wish to do some overclocking (light) or if I change like my GPU for a newer one in a few years? Btw thanks for your quick answers, really apreciated!
  14. Also what does modularity do? Not quite sure to understand and wouldn't want to make a mistake here.
