  1. Well, you made me think for over a week so i decided to upgrade my motherboard and gpu as well. I went with the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII WIFI and initially went with a EVGA FTW3 Ultra+ 2070 Super but it for some reason appeared to be getting caught on part of the motherboard and wouldn't seat properly. So I RMA'd the EVGA and I am expecting a ASUS ROG STRIX 2070 to be delivered today and will update when i have a chance.
  2. Is there any reason why I shouldn't install an 3950x on my ASUS x470 Prime Pro? I have no current interest in overclocking the cpu and I am currently using a NZXT 360mm AIO.
  3. I'd like to thank everyone for responding so far! I feel i should point out that the particular motherboard I'm using (P2B-DS) has built in SCSI (Adaptec AIC-7890 Ultra2 & Ultra-Fast/Wide SCSI Chipset) 50pin and 68pin connectors. So SCSI is a very feasible option.
  4. I am going to be building a retro gaming rig on a dual p2/p3 (slot 1 / P2B-DS) platform. I know that old hardware was very dependent on the +5v rail, but if possible I would like to use a modern PSU since i have a corsair ax860i (25amp on +5v rail) sitting collecting dust. Below is my rough plan for parts and would like to know peoples thoughts on if it would work. Asus p2b-ds 2x P3 1ghz (100mhz fsb) 1gb pc133 ram (4x 256mb) Voodoo 3 3500 AGP IDE DVD/RW IDE 160gb PATA drive Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold (ISA) Linksys pci eg1032 (gigabit nic)
