  1. Firstly, I never said anything about the bios. I mentioned chipset drivers specifically. I assumed the chipset is different, as AMD auto does not detect anything and the other ones dont work. There are well documented issues with Ryzen chips on windows 11, its not about "embracing changes" or being a "caveman". But yes that SOC is the one I need
  2. I have a HP Omen 3070 Laptop with a Ryzen 5800u The laptop is windows 11, and it will be a bit of time before I can do windows 10 when I am back. Since there are Ryzen issues that are resolved with Chipset updates, how do I apply this top the specific motherboard for my laptop. I can go to auto detect on HP's website, but he only drivers there is an audio driver, How does this work with laptops, as obviously the MOBO is proprietary. Thanks
  3. Indeed I realised this after installing! Derp moment Since you are here, I have a question that you may be able to help me with. The reason for changing the evga 750w GA was because during high fps game son a new 3080 it was making coil whine (was the psu) Installed the new Corsair 850x and at high FPS 120+ there is still some coil whine coming from the PSU. Not as much but it is there. I have my PC connected to a Cyberpower Pure sine wave tower (CP1500EPFCLCD) Any idea what's going on here? The UPS load is topping out with spike around 600w. 5600x 3080
  4. As stated my Rog b550 has one 8 pin input t and another 4. My current evga has the correct connector but the Corsair doesn't come with it. What is the other 4 pin for and is it even needed?
  5. So I noticed that Halo Infinite stutters a lot, there seem to be mixed reports of this on the internet. Some people like myself say its pretty bad and others not so much I measured my Freamtimes and they were VERY erratic This is with The in game frame limiter set to 80. It does the same thing at 120 and 60. I then started looking at other stats in AB and some look a little weird? Are any of these of concern. I find their silence on the freamtimes strange and I don't trust the devs not to break my computer, of which happened with New world. Included are Power limit, CPU clock. Do these look normal? Specs: 5600x 3070 32GB 3600Mhz CL16 Samsung Evo 970 Evga Gold 750w
  6. Just installed a new Gigabyte 3080 For some reason the PCIE wouldn't install properly that I use on multiple GPUs, I checked it against another cable and was identical. It kind of sat on top of the Port but refused to go in. Had to force quite a bit I had assumed the inward pins needed stretching or something. It didn't work Eventually used another cable. It was 100% identical pin for pin as the other ones I'm worried my forcing it could have damaged the solder keeping the male pins in place on the GPU. It turns on and works, how strong are they?
  7. I wasn't aware a specific VBIOS was need for the Palit cards Is this necessary?
  8. Tried it just now, didn't make a difference unfortunately Not sure what it could be
  9. I noticed immediately how low the brightness was upon loading the pixel 6 pro. To my astonishment it was on 61%?! I have a Samsung a50 that I am upgrading from and at 50% brightness both on white theme the Samsung feels like double the brightness. The Pixel 6 Pro is apparently 852 Nits while the Samsung is 550 Having checked both on MAX brightness the Pixel 6 Pro is a lot brighter. It seems there i some weried scaling going on where the last 10% does a LOT more for the brighness. Strange choice by google there
  10. My PC has been working flawlessly in Apex my main game for many months. Now every 5 second of so there is a large frametime spike in games. I recorded the frametime spikes in MS AB and they represent themselves as stutters in game. This isn't game related as it was happening JUST before the patch, when previously it was fine. 1. I have cleaned the PC 2. Installed previous drivers 3. Installed chipset again 4. Updated BIOS 5. Other obvious things, check running exes etc It just refuses to run smoothly, its almost like they are times. Im guessing the CPU or GPU has gone faulty Full specs: 3070 5600x 32gb 3600Mhz 500gb EVO 970 Evga Gold 750 GA
  11. I was playing the battlefield beta for a few days (preorder) There wasn't much stuttering and it seemed relatively smooth Last night I was playing and decided to lower from ultra to medium, when exited I heard a loud snap sound from inside my PC, I immediately checked to see what was going on. Now the game stutters horribly for me. I canty believe that's a coincidence. Here is a frame time graph I just took. LATEST NVIDIA DRIVERS 3070 NO OC 5600x Ryzen 32gb 3600mhzx cl16 samsung evo pro 970 As you can see my frametimes are CRAZY I didn't recall any stuttering the last few days, and as soon as this happened now its like this? Would really appreciate a good fellow if they can provide me with a frametime reading from their battlefield with similar specs
  12. I was recently clicked on a google ad for a website that links and online wallet I noticed the address wasn't right afterwards and was a copy of the real (large address). It was DEFINITELY a scam website I immediately closed the page, cleared my history and ran malware bytes. Can they actually get any personal information from my just going on the site, nothing was downloaded/unzipped etc.
  13. This didn't happen in rainbow I don't play that now this is other games. I have to install rainbow to test and its a very large file. My Vram usage is 4gb 1440p settings dont effect the frametimes much, as Im capped at 120fps
  14. So I recently have been having problems in games with stuttering in games. I solved it by uninstalling the Nvidia HD audio driver. It seems it was conflicting with my Audio interface. I used latency mon to check and it is now OK. However after analysing the frame times in multipole game sI can see that they are not steady with a capped framerate. For example in the picture you can see that they are going up and down very slightly. Is this normal behaviour? I distinctly recall last time I checked oon an older system in Rainbow Six siege (although the game I am testing is not that now) the framemtimes were rock solid with a capped framerate 3070, 5600x
  15. Thanks I did look for that but it seems to be gone. Any other directories?
  16. It seems to be saving my profiles, and some are bugged. When Uninstalling I choose dont save settings. Where are the saves, how can I fully delete this program?
  17. Yeah I already DDU'd. My AB settings seem to being saved when reinstallimg leading me to believe there is some sort of trace. How can I fully delete it?
  18. I was able to change the voltage fine in MSI AB, but for some reason it has decided to grey itself out. I re-installed the app but it still is a problem. What to do?
  19. I went to the EVGA compatibility page but its rather confusing. Am I able to use my new cables in the old PSU?
