Hi, iam a 2nd year computer science student and i need a lot of storage for projects and stuff. Well, around 2tb, i don't know if that's a lot or not. Until now for each of my different projects, i use several external hard drives. Now, you can guess what happens next. Correct, i dropped one and it broke. Luckily, the firm i sent it to could recover the data but at a pretty high cost. Now, iam a lucky guy with some parents willing to pay for the bill of a good nas. Now, at home my parents have a wd nas for media and stuff but sometimes in the middle of the night, it wakes up and starts making noise although it should be in some kind of sleep mode. For them that's not a problem because the nas is in the basement but i only have a small room and i need some sleep at night. Does anyone know of a nas that has some kind of programmable sleep schedule? The price should be beneath 300€ for a 2bay nas with 2x 3-4tb drives in raid 1.
