  1. I don't know when exactly, sadly, but they've become better-ish over the years. I used to hear Barracuda and cringe as well, trust me. But mine has been doing me just fine and many others will say the same. Perhaps they kicked up quality assurance standards?
  2. I'd certainly switch out the WD Black for a Blue or higher storage Barracuda (because I pinch my pennies) and the 8086K for and 8700K. Also I wouldn't go for a hybrid 1080 Ti. If you wanna AIO a 1080 Ti. I'd suggest buying a very cheap one, and adding a decent AIO on it yourself. That or check out that new Waterforce card. Everything else looks solid to me. Edit: Added Barracuda
  3. I second this idea. My first PC build was made with a 1060 6GB I got on sale for $190 (was like Amazon or something) and some guy's used PC that wasn't gaming ready, but had fairly new parts, that I had gotten from Craigslist. SO, definitely check out Craigslist, especially if you have transportation. Driving 40 minutes for a deal that'll save a couple hundred dollars is worth it in my opinion. Keep your eyes peeled for deals and sales as well (mostly for a GPU or more RAM). They come and go super quickly on all the sites from New Egg to Amazon.
  4. Thank you so much, all of you. I hope I enjoy my stay here. But they’re so pretty!
  5. It's Internet; it does it's job. Boy do I miss 1 GB/s speeds.
  6. Hello everyone! New here and just wanted to get to know some of you. I've been a fan of LTT for the last two or three years or so. For some reason, despite watching all of LTT's videos, I've never joined this forum. But alas, I am here. I'm a huge gamer, as I'm sure a lot of us are, and very nerdy. I like learning about tech and well... pretty much anything. I don't like talking about myself, so if you wanna know anything, feel free to ask. And again, hello all.~ Edit: Typos
