  1. I have spent a lot of time on this game, it's a lot of fun, but I don't think it's as addictive for most people. Right now it's absolutely worth the money given that it's being updated regularly with new content, but it can be even better value if you get it on sale. If you are starting out I'd recommend trying out a few rocket designs yourself (the more ridiculous the better) and if you actually want to accomplish something (get in orbit or to the Mun for example) there are great video tutorials online (Scott Manley's videos, particularily the beginner's tutorials, can be very helpful).
  2. You can tax your members in game, and I'm assuming it will be a fairly common practice among large organizations
  3. Huh, interesting, I thought that they explained that if you trust a player with your ship, your (virtual) life is in their hands
  4. I think it will disappear, like not to you, but you will be in a separate instance where players and npcs cannot interact with you And ships with LTI are not for sale anymore officially. The devs did say that insurance would not represent a major part of what you spend.
  5. the base hornet does have cargo, 4 tonnes I believe. It's the stealth, recon and super hornet that don't have any
  6. If you have a bed and you log out of the game, you can stay in space safely. If you don't have one, the AI will attempt to direct your ship to a safe place, but it could potentially be intercepted on its way.
  7. the F7C hornet is still available, the scythe is not, only a very small amount were sold actually. The hornet is better at dogfighting, the 325A has a bed and more cargo room.
  8. The devs confirmed that orgs could control factories, so engineering might have to do with that too.
  9. I'm pretty sure they've confirmed that you'll be able to name your ship. It would be cool if it was printed on the hull afterwards, I don't know if they'll do that though.
  10. That's kind of an oversimplification of WW1... But anyways I understand your concern. While I'm not interested in piracy right now, i feel that being in the org should not limit what members can and can't do too much, letting them do their own thing if they want to
  11. Well they should still be part of the organization, they're just not representing it. Just like if a person from country X attacked a person from country Y, the individual would not be representing his country in doing that and therefore it would not lead to conflict between X and Y. The individual would be held accountable, not the country.
  12. Well anyway a piracy group does not make a lot of sense in an organization that does not solely focus on piracy or criminal activity. I think the "Mercenary" group listed on the diagram is great for people that mostly want to do their own thing, and that to have unofficial piracy subgroups is a lot more sensible.
  13. I agree with this, I've seen pretty large orgs already starting to communicate with one another on their forums. However I think it should still consist of people who have a deep understanding of the goals of the organization as a whole
  14. Will there be a diplomatic branch? Or will members of the council/high council conduct diplomacy?
