  1. Hey! Thanks for the reply again . I'm using a website that keeps track of every computer up for sale in France, i've exaggerate my budget a little bit so you could see what's above here is the link: https://www.prix-portables.fr/filtres/criteres/79f0e5a81749b396930f7b7ccf090519/tri/note/DESC/Page30,15.html I wonder if you could see it in English, you probably could with some tweaking. I'll list all of it in English if needed EDIT: The link is on page 3 out of 3 pages in total. Check page 2 and 1 to see it all
  2. Online stores ? Well i have linked the VS and the VM, i've checked on Amazon as well but no really good deals aside from the US amazon.
  3. Hum interesting, the reference of thhe VM here is FY231T and on this website they show it with optimus. The country i am in might sell weird series of the gl502, they renamed it g502 as well ^^ : https://www.laptopspirit.fr/201379/asus-g502vm-fy231t-pc-portable-15-pouces-ips-gtx-1060-ssd-quad-i7-1499e.html.
  4. I'm a bit in a hurry to be honest the II strix series are way too expensive because they've just been released and i've tested the GL503 asus and i don't particulary like it so far and yhea it's most of the time worth for a laptop to go over the budget but i really can't afford to do so now unfortunately I might check this Lenovo if you could send me a link. I have trouble finding it xD. Reasons i would buy the VM over the VS would be that i don't think i'll put enough to use the GTX 1070, i don't mind playing in High for The Witcher 3 for example instead of Ultra with Hairworks, the G-sync feature is nice but not mendatory for me and as i've said, one of the reason is the screen refresh rate (60hz is something i like). G-sync does solve tearing but you have to cap your fps lower than the display's refresh rate to avoid any input lag or weird v-sync. Also the 1070 gtx doesn't run cool nor does it run silent because the integrated graphic card, even put to use, doesn't turn off the 1070. The VM probably has optimus and if it doesn't it's fine considering it uses way less volt/power to function. I do prefer the black frame of the VM compared to the VS as well. Is the almunium a problem at night though ? i'm quite picky about such details.
  5. Well to be honest, i gave the GL502VY to my brother because he really liked it as well. The screen on this model is even better than most high end gaming laptops out there which is quite weird I have the GL503 but they are a few things here and there which i don't particulary like. The back frame is really fancy but i don't value it as much as the keyboard, the postion of the speakers and light indicators etc. This laptop does have a 144Hz screen but while i notice the difference i could live without it. PS: And a 15 laptop is highly preferable
  6. Thanks for the reply. You mean the Zephyrus ? I know this model and i don't want to buy it, especially considering its price atm. My budget would be around 1550 dollars at most (which is around 1350 euros i'd say). The weight should be under 3kg, and around 2.5kg it's good. The battery life, i don't really except a lot from gaming laptops but at 3 and half hour should be okish, both VS and VM are listed at 6hours of battery life, the VM surely could go to 5 hours at max because it is provided with optimus but i don't believe a 1070GTX g-sync (even if disable on battery) could stay booted for 4 hours. I want it to be quiet when it's not under heavy load. I think a gtx 1060-6gb is good enough for most of the games i play even if a 1070 is tempting. I want a decent screen which both VS and VM have. I love the design of the VM and i think the design of the VS is okish. I don't value G-sync that much especially when both of these screens have a 60Hz display. I can't think of more atm. I'm currently living in France btw
  7. Yes sorry i forgot to mention that there's no way for at least 4 years that i could go along with a desktop. I move a lot for many reasons^^ and I'm a student. I plan on building my computer once i'm done studying and i'm settled somewhere Thanks for the reply anyway I do appreciate !
  8. Hey everyone! I need a new pc and i thought it would be a good idea for me to buy it while summer sales are up. I'm from europe and i don't really want to rely on shipping sale companies. I have found 2 computers the GL502VM and the GL502VS. On the website, both of them have almost the same price. I have purchased 1 week ago a computer the Asus ROG Scar-GL503VS-EI043T 15.6. Here are the specs: https://www.fnac.com/PC-Portable-Asus-ROG-Scar-GL503VS-EI043T-15-6-Gaming/a11264915/w-4 In the end, i thought that the price was high while i found deal breaking issues here and there. One which is worth mentionning is that on this model, the fan noises are insane. Even when you're doing something casual like web browsing etc. The Asus rog gaming center also is quite annoying because you can only swap between overboost and auto mode for the fans. I tried to tweak the fan speeds but still i could hear them. I know pc gaming often make noises but not to that extend. My previous computer was a GL502VY and i really loved it. While the heat as well as noises goes up a bit under load, it remains quiet when i watch a film etc. Basically the current one I have does have an effective cooling system as it remains cool in pretty much every situation but the permanent noise is really a downside/deal breaker. Long story short, i rather have a pc that is a bit warmer at times but remains quiet most of the time than a pc has an overkill cooling system. Here is the GL502VS (titanium edition) : https://www.cdiscount.com/informatique/ordinateurs-pc-portables/ordinateur-portable-asus-g502vs-fy298t-15-6-i/f-10709-g502vsfy298t.html?refer=zanoxpb&cid=affil&cm_mmc=zanoxpb-_-269859&awc=6948_1532103130_d099e235668b5bc2e5ec2ecbd3584414 And here is the GL502VM : https://www.cdiscount.com/informatique/ordinateurs-pc-portables/asus-rog-g502vm-fy231t-core-i7-7700hq-2-8-ghz/f-1070992-asu4712900695380.html?idOffre=203510008 There are lots of things i could discuss now on why I would buy one instead of the other (though i'm currently getting towards the VM even if it doesn't seem that worth considering the price) but i don't want to prevent you guys from posting any idea you came up with, so i'll give more of my thoughts once i get some replies :D. PS: With intensive research i have more infos on the computers listed here so if you want in depth specs of both product i might be able to give them to you :>. Thanks in advance!
