  1. I put the case stand-offs in and then put the screws thru the motherboard holes into the stand-offs
  2. So I put all my pc components together this morning and I am now at the stage of starting up, but it won't. My ASUS motherboard does show some lights, but those are completely aesthethic. The lights do show that the motherboard has power. I have moved my 2/4 stick of ram from the correct slots to different ones, but that wont help. I've removed my gpu, no sign either and double checked the front panel connectors, I have tried a screwdriver too instead of the powerswitch, still nothing would happen. I have also checked my 24-pin connector and my 8-pin cpu connector, no signs of life in my pc. Anybody got an idea on how I should fix this? Thanks in advance.
  3. I think it won't be tied to my school in any way, I read some articles on sites about how it works in my country and the copy seems to be lifetime. I am just getting that copy and if it blocks me out after I leave my school I will just buy a different copy somewhere else. Anyway thanks for your reply to this topic.
  4. So I'm planning on building a new pc and ofcourse I need an OS. I have used Windows all my life so I would like it again. Thru my schooling system I can get a free copy of Windows 10 Education edition but i still haven't figured out if it is better then home/pro or if it has some features that will block me from doing something I can do on home/pro edition of Windows 10. So I would like to know is windows 10 education better or worse then home/pro? Thanks in Advance. Edit: The pc will mainly be used for gaming.
  5. I've done some more research on the psu, but I still want know how much worse the psu I chose is over the ones in tier 1 or 2, is it risk of breaking or something else, like just bad performance?
  6. Okay nice to know I'm okay in the performance department as of cpu and gpu
  7. Thanks for the tips and I saw on the PSU tier list the one I chose was on tier 5, so I am defenetly going to upgrade that one. Going to do some more research on the rest of your points
  8. So I was planning to build a pc in the range of €1000 to €1100 ($1165 - $1281) and until this point I have got some items selected: -i5 8600k (planning to oc) -CM hyper 212 evo -Asus Prime z370-p -G.Skill aegis 2x8gb (3000MHz) -Nzxt s340 -Corsair cx600 80+ bronze -Sandisk pro 480Gb -1TB harddrive from my pc now As you can see I haven't included the gpu, because my plan was to buy the gtx 1160/2060 and keep my gtx 750ti from my current pc. So my question is: is this all compatable and is this a good build for 1080p 60Hz and maybe some 144Hz if I fancy that in the future? Thanks In advance
