  1. Thanks, I always loved them myself. Heavy as a hell and I love how it's built like a tank. Sadly because this machine was never meant for retail markets, the unsoldered pads are NOT tinned on the motherboard and are beginning the process of corroding. I'm worried I'll need to find a way to remedy this before it gets worse because it's a fairly rare debugging/development version (possibly a late blue board prototype) and I'd rather it not die. I've daily driven it for 10 years at least, and when I quit Apple in 2013 it became my personal machine and primary desktop that I now use for music and video editing.
  2. New house, and my 2008 "Mac Pro" has been heavily upgraded further. I now push 120fps on Doom 2016 on Ultra with Vulkan. I'm very impressed for a 12 year old machine that's been overclocked to hell and back. Also it's diagnostic LED's are showing in the back in some pics (the green and yellow light near the back right). This isn't quite a retail machine, I used to work at Apple so it's more like a debugging unit and boots like a PC, can't run retail Mac OS, so it really is just a Windows machine.
  3. On Firesticks, the remote has the Alexa mic, and it's not a hot mic, you have to hold down the microphone button to use it, because it's just running on AAA's and there's no way in hell that remote runs a year on AAA's while on Wifi and having a hot mic. If you're worried about it, just pull the batteries from the remote. If this is a Fire TV (not the stick, which actually has the mic built into the unit itself) then that's another story, but you said stick.
  4. Quite a lot work and are either universal or multi arch. It's mainly the games I have issues with. Other things like Discord, Firefox, Netflix, etc work just fine..
  5. Firefox, it's the faster one for my x86 based Android phone. Chrome just doesn't feel as fast.
  6. One of the things about having an old X86 based Android phone (running Oreo via a custom ROM, Oreo being about as far as it looks like I'll be going), I'm more so saddened that there's not many good games for this particular CPU arch on Android. I'm looking for a good FPS to play, but it seems there's like nothing out there for x86. About the best bet was Dosbox (which finally supports x86 Android ironically correctly), but I'd like something more modern. The GPU isn't "that" bad and I'd like to at least get some more use out of this phone.
  7. I had a keyboard and mouse on my Sega Genesis back in the day. Man I was ahead of the time!
  8. A Windows update can only break the video output IF it touched your video drivers. Do you not know what your video driver version is? What GPU are you using?
  9. Need more information, was the display driver updated? Windows sometimes does that. What build of Windows are you on?
  10. What if I told you that not every game in the Steam Library works well on windows 10 either?
  11. You shouldn't speak on a subject that you have honestly no true experience about. Not trying to sound rude, but in my experience with Steam and Proton, it was just as easy as installing a game through steam on Windows, no hassle at all, and most of the games I tried to run, actually ran extremely well. Only one had some issues.
  12. You are probably referring to this one then, but it same phone, though has Integral in thumbnail:
  13. I wasn't sure if he simply had a typo, or if there was actually another one, so I assumed typo, since people do so many typo's these days.
  14. Banned for dividing by negative zero.
