  1. i was thinking about it but it's only like 10USD cheaper and the X is longer on a market so maybe there is a place where non-X i lacking performance/support and maybe have something going on inside which we don't know about. I was watching test for both and for 10 USD i think i go with the X, a tiny bit more of performance. I can always undervolt the x to get it cooler. What you think? And does any one know about diffrence in latency in Ram? I'm worried about it.
  2. I'm thinking, maybe in like 5years, there will be more Pcie gen 5 thing, storage and GPU's. For now i don't need a WiFi, and a "simple" I/O is also good. I don't have and i don't think i need USB-C for anything. Maybe a 2.5 NIC will be usefull but i think that any mobo have this at this time. Maybe any one have any experience in this cooler on 7600x? Also i'm planning on using Thermal Grizzly Krayonaut.
  3. Budget (including currency): 1100 USD (about 5000 PLN) Country: Poland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Old setup: 4700k OC to 4Ghz, 16Gb ram, 2070Super (i know, bottolneck by CPU), 2 HHD, 1 SSD sata, 2 1080p monitors (75hz and 144hz). What i'm thinkig about: CPU, cooler: 7600x, thermalright macho rev c Mobo: not diceded yet Ram: Kingston Fury Beast RGB, DDR5, 16 GB, 6000MHz, CL40 (KF560C40BBAK2-16) PSU: Corsair RM850x 2021 850W (CP-9020200-EU) Storage: Samsung 980 PRO 500 GB M.2 2280 PCI-E x4 Gen4 NVMe (MZ-V8P500BW), and old 2 HDD and 1 SSD GPU: 2070 Super form old setup Case: not diceded yet Main question is which chipset to get, i'm buing the promise so i'm looking to upgrade the CPU later maybe in 3 years, so somewhat futureproof. Does any one know about this Ram? Expo or is the latency gonna impact the performance. Any sugestions?
  4. Wow, finally a good forum with great, fast info. Could you link some (tested) SATA SSD for a mid range price?
  5. I have plan to edit but only for fun, no bit projects. So you suggest a SATA SSD? And what about M.2 SSD, do they have the same speed as SATA SSD?
  6. Hello, Like in the title, I'm looking for system storage for my I7-4770k on MSI Z97S SLI Plus. I want a faster storage than HDD and up to 250GB. And my question is: what should i buy? Will my platform use all of the potential of NVMe storage or should i look for normal M.2 drive or maybe SSD SATA is better option? I read somewhere that i have M.2 on PCIe 3.0 x1. Will that allows me to take an advantage of NVMe? Thanks for help. My PC: I7-4770K Stock 1060 6GB Gaming X MSI 2x KHX1600C10D3/4G (soon F3-2400c10d-16GTX) MSi Z97S SLI Plus WD Black 1TB Win 7
