Moving in two weeks to a new apartment and have a limited space. 30" (Width) 70" (Height) 28" (Depth). Down to these three choices... Haier Stainless Steel 15 Cu. Ft. French Door Free-Standing Refrigerator + 2 Year Geek Squad Warranty - $999 Haier Stainless Steel 15 Cu. Ft. Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator + 2 Year Geek Squad Warranty - $1,260 LG 15 cu. ft. Bottom Freezer Refrigerator + 5 Year Allstate Warranty - $1,170 Also had the option of...... Frigidaire 18.3 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator + 2 Year Geek Squad Warranty - $680 But it wasn't supposed to arrive till late November so that means a month without a fridge. I've heard to always avoid Samsung and that LG's have compressor issues but don't know if the 5 year warranty helps. Haier makes GE fridges for those wondering.

My apartment is tiny as heck in LA (300 feet) so I wish I could have a deeper desk but I do with the space I have. I do a lot of video editing from home for work - hence the three monitors. I just set up the Car Thing tonight and it works well but wish it didn't have to be connected to my phone. 90% of the time I keep the lights just white - my tv/desk blocks both windows so the nanoleaf is my main source of light. Nanoleaf lights. Herman Miller Logitech Embody Gaming. Ikea Countertop as the desktop. Spotify Car Thing. Dell 34" Monitor. 2x HP Omen 27i. Samsung Tab S8 Ultra. Logitech G915 LIGHTSPEED Clicky. Razer Basilisk (for now....). Edifier Speakers. Arctis Pro Wireless. More images - https://imgur.com/gallery/qBt6Eal

So I set up two storage pools (both raid 1) on my qnap ts-451+. Both are thick volumes and have the status set to ready. The first one when it was being created made default folders and I can access it via windows. The second one though (Mars) says it's ready and I created a folder on it via QTS File Station but I don't know how to access it via Windows? When I go to Windows and click on my NAS (Rocinante) it just shows me Storage Pool 1 (Earth). Do you guys know what I can do to access storage pool 2? I figure I'm doing something wrong but I don't really know what. TY for the help.

NAS: QNAP TS-451+ Drives: I have four drives as mentioned above. This will be used as my Plex server. Note: I currently already have it set up as JBOD and have transferred all of my files over to it, but if it's SUPER unrecommended, let me know? Would you guys recommend me setting this as a raid and if so, which one to do?

I have two of these connected. Could it be one of these that's doing it? I found this monitor exists (though I haven't heard of it till now). Could it be some weird device driver issue? edit: sorry I shared this in the wrong forum and there doesn't appear to be a way to delete/repost it in the correct area.

So I "lock" my desktop each night before going to bed and turn off both monitors. For the third time now in the last two weeks when I've turned on my monitors they give me a "we don't have a signal so we're going to sleep" type of message. Any idea what it could be? I don't really know how to troubleshoot something like this... Specs: EVGA RTX 2070 | Ryzen 7 3700x | 32GB Ram | 650w PSU | Windows 10 Pro (1909) Just now I have been using the computer surfing Chrome for a couple hours. Well for the last half hour I was playing rocket league. Both monitors lost signal to the pc at the exact same time. Took side off pc and all fans are spinning, temp of inside of case doesn't feel too hot but the gpu feels hot to touch. Fans on GPU were both spinning though. Any idea? The monitors are two of these.

Since I'm working from home right now I'm looking for advice between two laptops. How would this computer do against this computer for editing in Premiere and After Effects primarily? I currently have the mac but it's off being repaired for a bad keyboard (butterfly keyboard). I have a Windows desktop at the office but I'm not really working there right now cause COVID and where I live. Macbook Pro (2018 Model): https://support.apple.com/kb/SP776?locale=en_US 2.2GHz 6-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 4.1GHz, with 9MB shared L3 cache 1TB SSD 32GB Ram Radeon Pro 555X with 4GB of GDDR5 memory and automatic graphics switching Intel UHD Graphics 630 This is the windows Asus laptop I'm currently looking at. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-zephyrus-g14-14-gaming-laptop-amd-ryzen-9-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-2060-max-q-1tb-ssd-moonlight-white/6403816.p?ref=8575135&loc=7bf4787ae24b11ea93913a4e4378d8700INT&acampID=7bf4787ae24b11ea93913a4e4378d8700INT&skuId=6403816 It seems the ram on the ROG is expandable to 24gb because it does have two ram slots with two 8gb dimms installed but one is soldered in so the other would have to be a 16gb. I've read mixed things online about using different sized ram cards but would it still work okay for premiere/ae? Thanks :)

Folding Community Board
SorrySorryImSorry replied to GOTSpectrum's topic in Folding@home, Boinc, and Coin Mining
Hey guys, I just installed folding @ home. I'm wondering if there is a "basic things to know" I can read about it before running. I currently use my pc (3700x, 2070, 32gb ram) as a plex server and for gaming but from midnight to about 5pm it usually isn't doing anything. I keep it on but how much money if I'm running folding (or whatever the term is) in "light" power mode would it cost more than sitting locked? Does it wear on the cpu or gpu by folding constantly? Sorry, I'm a newb to this.
