  1. Hello, so I am looking for a graphics card for my build. However, I need a VERY CHEAP one (in the $20-$40 range), the build only has one PCIE slot on the motherboard, has 8GB ram, and a 3.00GHz CPU. Is there one you would recommend I get for this price range? I am open to any links from ebay, or amazon. It dosent have to be new, it can be used.
  2. Ah alright then, if you have a external USB hard drive, then you could just transfer the files that way. Otherwise, you could plug both the PC and the laptop into your router with ethernet (wireless will work, but slower), and then go under the 'Network' tab on Windows Explorer (on the laptop), find the PC, login, and then transfer the files into a folder.
  3. What is your goal? Are you trying to transfer files between them, or sharing the network connection?
  4. Ok, I got a huge update for anyone interested, I have spent quite a bit more money on this build, and *finally* have it working stable, with good cpu temps and such. First of all, I moved all the parts to a cardboard box that conveniently fit all of them very nicely I then ordered the *correct* CPU cooler, some thermal paste, 4GB more ram, and a power cable for the hard drive (Dont ask.. I thought it would just be powered over SATA) I then setup the cooler with the thermal paste, plugged in the hard drive (bought off ebay for $8), and surprise, it dident work! So, what I was left with doing was to use an OLD seagate 120gb drive from 2005 in this build. Anyways, after installing the old seagate drive (it actually worked), I then installed Windows 10 on it (before I had a hard drive, I was running off USB). And last but not least, my 4GB more ram arrived today, I installed it, and now have a total of 8GB RAM! I will be attaching a picture of the updated build below. New specs: Intel Xeon E3110 3.00GHz (LGA 775) 8GB DDR3 RAM Thinkcentre M58 Motherboard (LGA 775) Seagate 160GB Hard Drive (From 2005) Lenovo stock heatsink and fan (Using old already owned PSU) (And if anyone is wondering, getting the correct CPU cooler and thermal paste lowered the CPU temps significantly, it used to be around 69-70 at idle, now its usually at 39-40)
  5. Pretty sure nothing will happen. Proof: (On a serious note though, ive never heard of people being banned for just hosting public files on google drive, its kind of whats its meant for)
  6. Would you recommend something like this? https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-120GB-Solid-State-SDSSDA-120G-G27/dp/B07621PNWC/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1536885142&sr=1-6&keywords=ssd+120gb
  7. Alright, I will definitely look into that! And for the SSD, you mean, just buy one and install it in the system, along with the hard drive, but dont install Windows or anything on it?
  8. First of all, I would always do the brand certified support (like apple store for apple products). Second of all, if you are worried about your data being accessed, then just do a backup, and wipe the phone before you send it in. You can restore from the backup when the phone is fixed. Third of all, if they care about any sort of reputation for their business, they have some sort of data security and privacy policy.
  9. Hello, so I am looking for a good hard drive for my new build (currently im using an old 2005 seagate drive), and I am wondering if this drive is good for a build that has 8GB ram, 3.00GHz CPU, and using it for casual gaming, and web browsing? Like it wont slow down the system alot? https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Cache-Desktop-Drive-WD10EZEX/dp/B0088PUEPK/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1536883246&sr=1-3&keywords=1tb%2Bhard%2Bdrive&th=1
  10. Ok first of all, let me explain about websites and webservers, they are two COMPLETELY different things. A webserver hosts already coded html or php pages (a website), that either you make yourself, or use a website builder. A webserver (such as apache) cannot just magically make a website for you, its only function is to serve visitors the already coded html or php files that are in its directory. That being said, I would recommend that you either reinstall the droplet with an easy to use CMS like Wordpress (that makes a site for you, with no coding needed). OR you can always just buy a package with a web host that includes their website builder (such as Godaddy)
  11. The reason many people buy from apple is because, while their products may be overpriced, and very bad (in terms of gaming, and performance), they last a looong time, they are built to last with quality parts. Again, I no longer use apple products personally, but in my experience with owning a Macbook from 2012, it still works today!
  12. Hello, so long story short here, I bought a WD blue drive on ebay ($8), it came, and dident work. I then tested this old Seagate hard drive I had from 2005, and it worked fine! The problem is, im not sure if this is a good idea to use it? I will attach a picture of it below. (The reason I dont just buy new one, is I am on a very low budget for this build, and dont really want to spend any more, I just want to know if its safe to use this drive)
  13. Same thing happened to me on a desktop I was working on for someone, I upgraded it from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. But, it stayed activated, even though this was *far* past the Windows 10 free upgrade times (I did this about a month ago).
  14. You could always just buy a USB Wifi adapter, they are very cheap, and work wonderfully! This is the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/ANEWISH-Adapter-Wireless-Network-10-4-10-13/dp/B06XMZ4Y4B/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1536753602&sr=8-3&keywords=usb+wifi+adapter+anewish
  15. Yes, but then theres the watermark.
  16. I am considering linux, but yea, the build does have 8GB ram, and a good 3.00GHz Xeon, so once I get the last few parts I ordered, I will test Windows vs Linux on steam games and other games and see if its actually a good choice
  17. oh no... (I know the watermark dosent bother alot of people, but it can be super annoying if you keep looking at it ) I also want to note that the price of a 'legit' Windows 10 key, would cost more than my entire current build. (Which currently is a total of $90)
  18. Hi, so I recently bought a Windows 10 Pro key on ebay, for $3, seems like a great deal, but is it safe to use on a system? Meaning, is there any way Microsoft could eventually cancel the key, if it infact was found out to be gotten in a *odd* way? Like these keys arent fake or stolen right?
  19. Well, actually, you can almost always get a refund on ebay as long as you either dident get the item at all, or it wasent the item as described, its called their Money Back Guarantee. https://pages.ebay.com/ebay-money-back-guarantee/ In short, just make sure the seller has somewhere in the description that the RAM is 'working' before you buy it, and you should be safe.
  20. As much as I do hate apple, and the things it does. I do agree with this, as I have a 2012 Macbook Pro that still works fine today (although I no longer use it), and yes it runs fine, even with the newest OS (shocking, I know right?), also want to note that its only needed 3 repairs since I purchased it, but those were all *mostly* caused by stuff I did.
  21. You know why I hate apple? I could go on and on and on and on about this... but I will just list a few points They wayyyyyy overprice every single one of their products (cables and dongles too!) Im not even going to start with iOS and its limits They make it near impossible to upgrade anything other than the RAM on their laptops and desktops They have multiple times suddenly switched to a brand new port (such as USB-C or removing headphone jack), leaving users existing hardware useless without a dongle, that they also overprice (if they want to get a new device) $100 per year for a developer account to publish apps? really? They purposefully make their old products slower, and almost force you to upgrade Apparently they think that anyone under 17 shouldent be able to get a 3rd party browser (on iOS App Store) and no im not kidding. (Look at the age next to the app name: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/firefox-web-browser/id989804926?mt=8) And before anyone thinks that I dont have any experience with apple, and only hate them because I only use Windows and Android, I have had many many apple products in the past (I use no apple products currently). Let me name a few: Macbook (Old white model) Macbook Pro 7 iPhones 4 iPod touches 2 iPods 2 iPads Apple TV
